...and I noticed a couple characters I distinctly don't remember seeing. Namely Psyloche and Jubileee. Now, I don't read comic books (except Watchmen), but I do know these two from the Capcom fighting games and the cartoon, respectively. Where the hell do they appear in the movie?

Also, Spike seems like a reach. Wasn't he a black kid in X-Men Evolutions? And a good guy to boot.

Psylocke was the color-shifting/camoflaging mutant who surprised Worthington Sr. in the halls.  I think Spike is the antler-wrist guy who duels Wolverine in the woods, but I'm not at all sure about that.  I have no idea which one was supposed to be Jubilee.  Very, very few of the minor characters even remotely resemble their comic book counterparts.
I thought I was Dale.

Jubilee has a deleted scene in X2.  She's also sitting next to Bobby in the scene where he makes Rogue the ice rose blob.

Yeah, in the completed movies you only really know who Jubilee is if you notice her yellow coat and earrings.

They pretty much just grabbed the names of random mutants from a hat and gave them to extras with speaking lines.

Apparently, Jubilee is one of the mutants sitting in Xavier's classroom early on in the film:

The actress playing her is Kea Wong (who pretty much hasn't done anything noteworthy). http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0910958/

As for Psylocke, that's her on the right (next to Callisto, and Arclight on the left) I never noticed that she actually has the same red tattoo over her eye that the character in the comic does.

She's played by Mei Melancon (who previously worked with Brett Ratner on Rush Hour 2 as "Girl in Car", and was in a few episodes of The L Word), and you can probably find some stunning pictures of her online because she used to be a fashion model and is just plain gorgeous. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1024868/

It's really a shame neither of them showed off their powers to any extent in the movie. I would have rather seen Storm fight Psylocke across two separate scenes - that would have at least made sense.
