QuoteGone with the Wind." Great movie ala Old Hollywood

Good pic.

I could listen to nathan jessops speech all freaken day.

I wonder how riffable a few good men is.  Really its a solid movie but i still think it could be riff, maybe even riffed better for its solidness.

Almost anything with Jack would be a hard movie to riff - cuz he's one of those guys that just keeps drawing attention to the movie, and might clash with Mike's riffage.
"I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the very blanket of freedom which I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it...."

Not so good war movie is "Behind Enemy Lines." In fact, that movie could easily be riffed. "Enemy at the Gates" is a good one (snipers!!!) but I could also see that movie being riffed to pieces.

man i literally HATE owen wilson  I could not stand that movie.  the only movie i have thus far liked him in was cars.  behind enemy lines totally needs to be riffed.

Black Hawk Down
Deer Hunter
Apocalypse Now
Saving Private Ryan
Thin Red Line
Patton
Platoon
Last of the Mohicans
Gettysburg (my personal favorite. the rest are in no particular order)

Gettysburg is definitely a special movie, because it is so accurate to character, as well as true to actual Civil War study. Regardless of the reels-worth of recycled footage, this movie holds a dear place within my manly bosom. The music is pretty sweet also. (Poor Buster Kilrain.... he was my favorite)

Have you read the series by the Shaara duo? "The Killer Angels" is the book that Gettysburg is based off of, and is easily the best book in the Civil War Series. "Gone for Soldiers" is great also - it's about all those generals/officers before the Civil War started, when they were sharing tours of duty together in the Mexican-American War.

I have not had the pleasure of reading those books. I have been told, however, that "The Killer Angels" is an excellent book. I'm hoping to read it very soon. Kilrain was awesome! My personal favorites were Armistead and Chamberlain. The score is one of my favorites of all time.
Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!
