Whatever.

Dont get all crabby or we'll send your butt packing to the American league instead of sending the Astros there!   :D

With the latest idea for realignment and what it would procure, interleague play will happen throughout the entire season, and I wouldn't be surprised if the National League eventually goes the way of the DH.

I think you might be right, and I think I'm okay with it. I used to be anti-DH, but that sentiment has gradually faded over the years. I enjoyed the more demanding strategy of the offensive pitcher, but the fact is pitchers can't hit for shit anymore. Sure there are a few exceptions, but these athletes are so specialized and pampered now, they just don't practice hitting enough to be at all effective. Some guys can't even lay a bunt down for chrissakes. I was watching a game the other night and the announcers were going on and on about what the effect was going to be on the pitcher just being out there running the bases. It's become a bit of a joke.

And interleague is a complete joke when it comes to pitchers at the plate. So many AL pitchers don't even take the damn bat off their shoulders, many times because they're specifically told not to! So in this era of gazillion-dollar salaries and increased interleague play, I think it makes sense to just apply the DH accross the board and be done with it.

Meh.

;)

Of course I am, but man, last night wasn't fun at all! Especially coming off the bizarre four-game set at Wrigley. I hope Marcum's hip flexor strain isn't too bad from last night. However, on a positive note, we managed to get Gonzalez out once, jawsome!

I definitely don't like our odds against Lester tonight, and it wouldn't surprise me in the least if Wakefield 2-hits us tomorrow. I'm so not looking forward to the potential results for tomorrow's game.

The MLB Players Union LOVE what you're saying, Barnes.  :)

I personally love National League ball but wouldn't be disheartened if the DH were employed in both leagues. I wouldn't have to hold my breath when Yovanni slides quasi-violently into a base much like he did on Tuesday night. That gave me chills and recollection from '08 when he destroyed his knee going to first base. *shivers*

Now it's back to the 15-game stretch I feared since the 2011 schedule was released.  :P

Ugh.

Right on... *pumps fist*

I love that Yo's on the mound for the final game of the series but hope our bats stay patient w/ Wakefield tomorrow afternoon.

Let's get 'em, Crew, and stay ahead of the curve during this brutal inter-league stretch.

Man, I could probably hit the Brewers starting pitcher today.   If Wakeman cannot hold this lead, K1 will be on suicide watch.

Quality start. Crisis averted.

So, Pujols has a sprained wrist, unknown if going on DL.

I think their ownly player not on the DL this year have been the cather and Berkman.    Sigh......

I just saw a replay of the injury. OUCH!!! Your wrist is not designed to bend that way! Serious sprains can take longer to heal than breaks, and that looked pretty serious. Hope not, but I'd be surprised if he wasn't headed to the DL.

Bad news for Bob & 2 of my 3 fantasy baseball teams.

QuoteAlbert Pujols has been diagnosed with a small fracture in his left wrist and will miss 4-6 weeks.

Hm. Tempted to change my team slogan to "My Pujols is hurtin'!"
