Sorry, just a little giddy over all this. It is a giant contract and I hope they manage him as best as possible to get the full ten years.

Wells was a bust, Matsui was a bust, Guerrero and Napoli start hitting the cover off the ball again after they leave, Morales' freak accident. The Halos could use a break.

Speaking of that poor guy Morales...... is he coming back this year?

He was just cleared the other day to jog on a treadmill. They don't know if he'll be ready for spring training. What a horrible injury.  :(

Hope he comes back soon.

So, where does Fielder go now?   I know he wanted more than Pujols, but I think all the big spenders have spent now.

I cannot see that.

I also cannot see him getting more than Pujols (his goal), but who knows?

Rangers?

Maybe?

Marlins? They seem to like insane contracts lately.

MartyS (Gromit)

I hope the Cardinals don't offer Jimmy Rollins crazy money, I really want him to stay in Philly...

My guess on them is they will get a bullpen guy, see if there is a trade market for SS and hold off until the season to make an bigger move.   That seems to be their operating process (e.g. McGwire, Holiday, etc.).

Actually maybe Prince will stay with the Brew Crew now that I think about it.  I can't imagine most teams want to go past 5 years with him as to avoid a Mo Vaughn type decline.

Of course, I would not have given Pujols more than 5 years.

Prince's agent wants more than Pujols, should be interesting.

Dodgers?

Ouch. Ryan Braun tests positive for PEDs.

DOH!!!

And here I was naively thinking that maybe, just maybe, the league was past all this. Should've stuck with my cynicism.

I guess that explains why he has that bug-eyed freak look about him all the time.

It probably was an innocent mistake by taking some suppliment that did not contain all the ingrediants.   Of course, even if that is the case, it does not matter.   50 games....

I'd just like to say that it pisses me off that Manny who is a SECOND TIME OFFENDER will have the same suspension as Braun.

Bob

Will making a comeback in baseball interfer with Manny's new post-baseball career of spousal abuse?
