I guess it's being filmed in 3D though, so that's better than post conversion.

As I don't really notice 3D no matter how it's shot or how good it works, it makes no particular difference to me. Just a few extra dollars I've got to fork over for the midnight show :P

I thought I was the only one who really couldn't tell if something was 3D or not. 3D movies still look two dimensional to me (and yes, when I'm wearing the glasses).

It's not so much that I can't physically tell, since at first I can. I think. I can tell things look a little different, at least.

It's just that about half an hour into a movie, I really do stop noticing, and have to force myself to look around the screen to see something that makes me go "Oh yeah, this is in 3D". Not exactly something that really gets me excited.

And I'll probably be able to find a 2D midnight screening. I did of John Carter last night, and these days they don't seem to be pushing the 3D-only option as hard.

I can't believe you just said something negative about a movie that you haven't seen.  You're worse than Hitler.

I think they are taking the concept of a "teaser trailer" a bit too far.

Now, if a regular trailer misrepresents a movie (as is the norm these days), how much higher level misrepresentation would a trailer for that trailer be?

These pictures of Noomi Rapace in her space suit already look so much better than those wonky stills that were released earlier:

From what I have seen, I get the idea that the movie will be damn scary, just not in the way Alien was.

I was starting to feel a little jerked around what with the pre-trailer for the trailer nonsense, but this looks fucking AMAZING!

Watch full-screen HD. I can't remember the last time I was this fired up from seeing a trailer.

Wow.  That's impressive.  Can't wait till Vudu has the trailer so I can watch it on my HDTV.

Russell

Not sure I want to go see it now, I'm afraid of being scared.
