Twenty Questions in the hiz - 2/9/07

[gammer]

BTW, did they mention a release date?

I don't see it...

[sarcasm_made_Easy]

next friday was assumed.

[macleod]

Over the top!??

I can't believe it, I started that thread in suggest-a-track like a month ago

Mike, you have made my dreams come true

[torgosPizza]

Yeah should be online by Friday, 2/16.

[macleod]

Oh yeah...still stoked about it

Remember, hat turned backwards = go time

OMG, I just ordered this from Amazon.com.    The most embarassing $9.99 I have ever spent.

[starfighter]

Once again, I wimped out and got a used VHS copy through Amazon for $3.91.  I am so glad I already know about season 2 of The Office going on sale at Borders next week for $19.99.  Having good stuff to look forward to buying keeps me from getting better copies than Rifftrax requires.   I'm at a 50/50 breakdown of VHS/DVD on Riffed movies at no loss of quality, at least in my head.

[macleod]

Check out Bestbuy, they usually stock a 2-pack dvd that has demolition man and over the top on it. It goes on sale pretty frequently too. I own it because I bought it on sale for 4 bucks new...so check around.

[PlayMSTie]

This is the first RiffTraxed movie I've never heard of!

[mrbasehart]

I'm shocked so many of you haven't heard of "Over the Top".

Same here.  I remember watching this with my cousin when we were kids, and emulating the "over the top" arm-wrestling move on each other.  It has a very Road House/Point Break kind of cheese factor to it.  Should be a good one.

I third this opinion.  Over the Top os a great, great, awful, movie.  I'm glad Mike is going to tackle another cheesy one from the 80's.  As for the game: It was a complete trainwreck! But very entertaining, nevertheless.

[leeving]

bought my copy tonight while I was out trying to find Star Trek VI.  I had a problem trying to locate a Part V last time around.

But i'm ready now of Over the Top.

I 2nd that trek 5 comment, that thing is rare. Wow you guys are doing Over the Top, god I loved this movie as a kid... well in that weird can't look away kind of love... "when I turn my hat around I become an Animal" great, for those that dont know it this movie is a wierd blend of Rocky and Dodgeball

also; rd nxt tm... plz man its gonna be hard to remember that rule

[macleod]

Yeah, I had to end up ordering STV online, because my local stores didn't carry it.

VI was easily found though.

I think the hardest to find disc would probably be Troll 2, followed closely by Battlefield Earth (I'm not counting Nestor)

[graboids]

I bought the Demolition Man/Over the Top double feature DVD a few months ago.  I'm a Stallone fan for the most part, but OTT is just stupid.  It should make for a perfect rifftrack.

Weird; I found a used one last night at GameStop. Unfortunately, my partner felt that $6.67 was too much money to pay for the 2-Disc edition of that movie, so I didn't get it.
