Falling a bit behind in posting my project updates..

I'm in the process of converting my entire movie/tv/anime collection to digital (via Handbrake) so I can watch it via streaming.  I've gone through about 200 discs and I'm about 8% done.... this is going to take a while.

We are trying our damnedest to get our garden underway but it has been cold and raining every weekend for at least a month straight. I've even taken days off from work to try to get started on the garden and it's rained both days. And now, here's another Saturday when it's pouring outside and I'm sitting on my couch looking out the window.

We're going to build either two smaller boxes or one big box to make a raised bed vegetable garden, and then I plan on having a small herb/flower garden besides. At some point I'd love to put in a clothes tree so I can hang my laundry outside, too. Unfortunately none of this can be done in the rain.

(also, I need to borrow a stud-finder and .

Those never work for me, they constantly activate when I'm around.

:D

As far as the raised beds go, yes, I am all over the weed block thing. I bought a roll of it and we are laying it out at the bottom of each box (we don't have a big yard so the boxes will only be four feet by four feet). I read something online where it suggests you use hardware cloth to keep little critters from burrowing in underneath of the box and destroying the plants' root system, but I decided to forgo that. Cutting it and making sure it covers the entire bottom of the box was more labor-intensive than I wanted, and when we were digging around in the yard to set up the boxes I didn't see any evidence of burrowing animals and such.

I looked into that. But the startup was about $140 for that,
Get the hell out! My mother probably has about six of the feckers in cupboards around her house, you'd probably only have to pay shipping. And these would be gen-yoo-ine '70s and '80s originals. One of them may be avocado in colour scheme.
