Okay, this will make Doc's day:

95 movie sequels currently in the works

This includes things from 300 2, American Pie 4 (despite the 5 sequels in between American Wedding and 4), Anchorman 2 , Cloverfield 2, Fast & Furious 6, Hanna 2, Johnny English Reborn, Jumper 2, Knocked Up 2, Piranha 3DD, Silent Hill 3d, Taken 2, Top Gun 2, and more. This doesn't include direct to video stuff either, like Lost Boys 4.

Well, you add 5 to 297...

Seriously, the Greeks fought the Persians for another 50 years after Themoplyae. I'm guessing the film would center around the battle of Salamis, which was a huge naval battle between the Greeks and the Persians ad pretty much ended the Persian offensive.

Given that Salamis was an Athenian-led victory and we know what what's-his-name thinks of Athenians, I'll be surprised if this happens.

All I can think about is two guys swordfighting with salamis.

It's supposed to be a prequel.  Starts at Marathon.  Ends around Thermopylae.  It was supposed to be called Xerxes but it's not anymore.

I can take the news of sequels one or two at a time, but when you line them all up like that, it's like being rammed in the junk nearly one hundred times by progressively larger and larger animals, starting with a chinchilla and ending with Cthulhu.

But holy crap Taken 2?!?!? I'm not sure how I feel about this one. I'm all for any opportunity for Liam Neeson to kick some ass, but what's going to happen? Are they going to kidnap his daughter again? This ain't freaking Super Mario.

"We're sorry, your daughter is in another castle! I mean another creepy fat guy's harem yacht."

I just don't see it having the same emotional impact as the first, no matter how they spin it.

Maybe they take his 2nd cousin, thrice-removed (played by Randy Quaid, naturally), and he has to get him back from the Hillbilly mob led by none other than Crenshaw, a.k.a. "the True Boggy Creek Monster".

Sorry, it's late and I've suddenly got a weird imagination.

Yeah it sounds like to me that Taken is going to be the new Death Wish.

I thought Taken was a tv miniseries about aliens.

No your thinking of Close Encounters of the third kind.

I'm pretending you wrote this for 300 instead of Taken.
