Well it seems it is legit and it's a kind of cross-promotion with Disney since Tron and The Commodore came out the same year. Anyone who picked up a Tron Blu-ray has an ad for it now.

The Specs:

$895 is a hefty price tag for a bit of nostalgia, but it's got better specs than my gaming rig... :^)

Well, $895 for the VIC Pro, which is what the Phoenix is now officially called.  The C-64 version is $595.

Supposedly it'll run Windows AND the C-64 emulator, and based on forum feedback, they ARE planning an iTunes-style store with all the old (and probably new) games and stuff for it.

Where is it on the Tron Blu-Ray, by the way?

I can't believe I'm saying this, but dammit I want one!  I miss my old C-64, and having one that I could use now and actually do useful things sounds awesome.

Ah.  I got the 2-movie collection, it doesn't come with anything other than the Disney code dealie and a lithograph of old-timey Tron.  But hey, that set is worth it; when I finally buy a 3D television...and amplifier...and HDMI v1.4 cords...I'll be all set to enjoy my 3D version!  Until I probably get a headache or something.

Problem is, I can barely afford a new C-64 as it is right now.  Damn you, nostalgia!
