So was the chicken short the most confusing film ever made?

That was one confusing short and I cannot imagine it provided much in the way of entertainment when shown at the theater while people were waiting for their Tom Mix western to start.

Well most shorts have point,even if they make it badly.  This one I have no idea what the point was.
