I think that sums it up for me.   I will watch this one alone and hide the DVD when done.

Being insulated for the last 10-15 years from pop radio makes this especially hard to hear.

Yeah...this was the hardest part for me when picking the sample. I haven't listened to music on terrestrial radio since, at least, 2003. I was completely unprepared for what this movie served up. Thankfully, as a HSM virgin, I can say that the Riff makes this watchable and fun.

I still don't know if I can watch this.  I don't allow my daughters to watch High School Musical, and I don't even think I want it in the house.

I am sure this will be a great Rifftrax...... but man, that was some of the lamest, most generic, shitty singing I have EVER heard.

I will now listen to The Clash "London Calling" and Husker Du "Warehouse: Song and Stories" to get the shitty taste out of my mouth.

And that was just the sample.  Imagine what the whole riff will do to you.

You know that feeling you get when a loved one dies, and you start crying because you want to believe it didn't happen?  That it was just a dream?

That's the way I feel after watching the basketball scene.

Okay, absolutely have to see this now.  If any movie deserves the evisceration of the riffers its this one.

Were these movies ever in theaters, or were they direct to TV?

According to Wikipedia the third one was a theatrical release, but not the first two.
