The Sandhill something something theater in Columbia, SC (Hey... I just moved here; gimme a break if I can't remember the name).

You mean the Regal Sandhill 16 in Columbia?  :)

I'm going to the event at the AMC theater in Aventura, FL.

The theater in the mall?   :o   Judging by ticket prices the one time I was there....you taking out a loan on the house?   ;)

Most theaters (at least AMC's) are in malls now

True....but most people I know consider Oceans (the former California Club), Sunrise Intercoastal and the theaters that used to be in the Lohmann's Plaza to be "Aventura" (assuming they re-opened those last ones).

Just wondered if Aventura 24 finally figured out that just because they're next to Bloomingdales doesn't mean they can charge like Bloomingdales.  Been any other shootings there?   :)

Yeah.  That's the one I meant.

Shootings at Aventura 24? Not that I know of.  I went to the Lohemann's theaters ages ago when it was there, but they tore that down and built stores in its place.  I haven't been to the California Club one in over 10 years, which was when I used to live nearby there.  The Intercoastal theater I haven't been to even longer than the CC theater.  My main theaters are the one in Aventura and Regal Oakwood 18 in Hollywood, but I go to the Regal theater more often because I truly rack up the Crown Club points there.  AMC doesn't give you squat in terms of points.

But I will tell you that judging by the changes that AMC is making (i.e., no outside food into theaters, etc.), they could lose revenue.  The forums over at AMC's website can be quite hostile by folks who aren't happy with the changes AMC is making.  The only reason I would go to AMC is because they have the closest IMAX theater in the area.  Hopefully Regal will get one soon so there will be no reason for me to go to AMC.

Watchman

Some SOUTHWESTERN representation here:

If I go, I'll be attending the Cinemark 16 in Mesa, AZ (http://www.cinemark.com/theater_showtimes.asp?theater_id=366). The lone Cinemark in the whole metro Phoenix area, t'will be the first time I've attended one. My only other options are AMCs; I hate AMCs and the crappy outdoor shopping centers they're located in, navigating through a maze of overpriced, trendy & overly colourful business facades in the scorching heat (yes, it's still damn hot here in the evening) until reaching the theater at the center of the consumer labyrinth. (that's right Desert Ridge, you suck)

Hor-RIFF-ic Productions

We'll be at the Jordan Creek Town Center as usual (all though it's not a town, doesn't have a creek, and isn't in the center of anything).  I really wish I had tomorrow off, too many damn projects in the works for "fun".  How dare they try to lighten my dark and dreary overbooked world with their merriment!

I can't stop laughing at your description of JCTC!  ;D
Even if all of us can't be together at the same theater, we will have a great time tonight!  :highfive:

Sorry.  The correct answer was "No.  I've been excited before."
