Cole and Janet's work is sadly underappreciated around here.  Too bad, because I really like them.

I didn't get much enjoyment out of this riff though.  It may be because I was sick as a dog the day I watched it.  It could also be because I got too engrossed in the plot and didn't pay close enough attention to the riffs.  I dunno.  I should give it a second viewing.

Oh I loved it, they've never let me down yet. My review... mightyjackmst.com

Finally saw this last night, and the riffing was first rate again.   They make a really riffing duo and they never seemed forced.   Very good combinations of one linings, repeated riffs, etc.    Recommended.

Now the movie itself..... damn, time has NOT been kind to this one.   The acting from everyone was atrocious and the "let us hide who the bad guy is" totally does not work because his actions during the movie make no sense if he is the bad guy.   And the outlandish clothing Corey Haim wore is in this movie looks just god awful.   I'm sorry, I was alive in the '80s and I did not see anyone dress like that.

I agree on this.  I hated the hand wave where he's like "you lose all power over a vampire if you invite him into your home".

But I think I enjoyed the movie because this was the first time I ever saw it, I reflexively love anything Kiefer Sutherland is in, and after Twilight I'm just glad to see a movie with real, vulnerable, vampires.  When Sutherland stuck his hand into that sunbeam and it caught fire, I cheered.  BECAUSE IT CAUGHT FIRE INSTEAD OF FUCKING SPARKLING.

I am personally disappointed that, at no point in the riff, did either Cole or Janet use some form of the phrase "Special Agent Drac Bauer".

Maybe linguistically it wouldn't have played well.  People would have heard "Jack" instead of "Drac" and miss the pun.

Or they just don't want to use puns.

Irregardless1, I was disappointed.
