[Bastard Poetry]

Good morning or whatever. This is your imaginary internet friend, Bastard Poetry.

I've been lurking around here for a few years, and I finally decided to join this fine community. First off, I'd like to say that I've been silently rooting for a Dune Rifftrax all this time, and I've expressed a few of my own sad-face emoticons every time RVR II posts one, as well as a few LOL-face emoticons whenever others make fun of how crushed he often finds his dreams. Please understand that the above-mentioned emoticons were irl facial expression that I made with my actual face.

Since there are numerous stickied questions on this board, I figured I'd answer a few questions here:

I first discovered RiffTrax while living, temporarily, in Ireland, back in September of 2006. My wife (then girlfriend) and I were living with a couple of Germans, and they had never heard of MST3K. So, feeling it was our moral obligation to single-handedly introduce them--and to an extent, the rest of Germany--to the greatest show of all time, we began tackling episodes in 8-10 part segments on YouTube. In the process, we found related videos to RiffTrax clips--namely the Fifth Element and Crossroads. My wife and I were such fans of MST3K that we kept our eyes on everything the guys did after the show went off the air. We still quote Edward the Less to this day, actually.

Our first RiffTrax was The Matrix, which had just been released, immediately followed by X-Men. We had a choice to pick two out of three movies available for sale at a Dublin cd/dvd store--the third movie being Crossroads--and decided we could wait until we were back in the States with our glorious (and more importantly, discrete) Netflix account for that one.

As of writing this, I have just now seen that the 100th Official RiffTrax has been announced. I'm extremely excited to be here for this, and look forward to many further pleasantries and/or lemon-fresh sundries on this forum.
