Did you really mean why?  Because a lot of great stuff isn't on archive.org.  It's fun going through the old 16mm's on the projector.

We are getting full dvd-res mpeg2 files unlike the vast majority of mpeg 2 files at the archive and RiffTrax has been providing the source audios files again.  So the reauthor-ers really can't complain. I know I am not!

yes...I am also confused as to why it matters.

(it makes my job a hell of a lot more pleasant getting to work with an uncompressed source, that's for sure.)
