They said the next release would be 5/14 in the previous 20Q thread.

I think Mike did a radio interview a bit ago that slipped there would be one sometime this summer. I'm interested to see what the movie selection is. I'm glad these events are successful as I love going to see them live with a theater full of people  ;D

I'm hoping it's for a non-PD movie. I assume they've shown that these theater shows can be very profitable so maybe they won't be so worried about not making the money back for the rights to broadcast. Though that would mean no DVD release.

They have been doing the Blockbusters a lot lately I wouldn't mind a change and have a weird old Public Domain movie. They did a few Last year that I thought were awesome. I'm still kinda sad we never got a Planet of Dinosaurs Live show since that was one of my favorite releases from last year.

But whatever they choose I will be in line to see it  ;D

But seriously - the next riff party is in ten days, is there a game coming up or will we find out on the day?
FINE

I am sort of of two minds when it comes to the public domain movies. A lot of times I find myself enjoying the blockbuster riffs more. That said, as far as I'm concerned, the prime directive of Rifftrax is to keep the guys making money. And if it's in their best financial interest to use a public domain movie for the live shows... go for it! Hell, I hope it's a big pay-day for them.

So long as the decisions made make it worthwhile and desirable for the guys to keep making riffs for the foreseeable future; I'm on board.
