Okay folks, I drew first, so here is my selection:

Vincent Price in  The Abominable Dr. Phibes (1971)
featuring Joseph Cotten,
Directed by Robert Fuest

I hope not too many of you have seen it (I have, but I'll keep my opinions to myself for now), and I really hope you all enjoy it!

(BTW. thanks to Monty for telling me how to embed the trailer)

Cool pick.  I've never seen it, but I've heard of it and it looks interesting.

The movie is available on youtube, if anyone has any trouble finding it otherwise.

I'll find a copy one way or another.  Or I'll just watch the youtube version.

When do you think we should start talking about the movie?

Doctor Who?

Well it's a Joseph Cotten movie,so at least it has that going for it.

Doctor Who?

Well I am going to have to sit this one out.  I don't have any money to buy the movie right now and and Netflix doesn't have it. Catch you next time.

Edward J Grug III

I have seen it, but don't remember it all that well.

And what's the date we should be watching the film?
FINE

MontyServo

Well, I have a copy.  (The internet is an amazing thing.  Just like magnets.  How do they work?)

Just waiting to find out what days I should watch it so we are all discussing it at the same time.

Shit, I thought Netflix had it.  I clicked on the browse selection button and searched for the title, and there it was, it didn't say unavailable or anything.  Should I change my pick?  I don't want anyone to have to sit it out, especially not the first one.  We did agree that Netflix should carry it, so maybe I'll have to change it.  Personally, I hate watching stuff on my computer, and I wouldn't want anyone to have to do that.

I'm going to watch it on my computer.  It's no big deal for me.

I don't want to see this become a regular thing either.  Someone says they are going to skip the movie for whatever reason, and then the movie selection gets changed because of it.

If someone can't get a copy of the movie, that is their problem.  Not yours.  You picked the movie you wanted, it is up to all of us to find a copy if we want to participate.

It's 28k,so nope.  It takes about 2 hours for a 1 minute clip to load.  Didn't mean to be a wet blanket, enjoy.

But I did think it was on Netflix.  It is available for rent from Amazon online, not sure if that helps.

I think we should wait for Mr. Basehart's ruling on this one, because I guess I accidentally broke the one rule, make sure Netflix has it.

Where was that made a rule?  I think it was suggested that it might be a good idea to pick something available from Netflix.  But I don't think it was ever made a rule.

Part of the fun of this club is going to hunting down titles from time to time.  I say, let your choice stand.

Doctor Who?

No that was never a rule it was just what I said I was going to do when picking my movie.

I didn't want to turn this into a big deal,it sounds like a good choice and I hope you all carry on and enjoy it.  It really is weird that Netflix didn't have it and I am sure this will not happen again.  I only said something because I was sure people would think it was strange that I was not taking part after I had been so in favor of the club.  Please carry on and enjoy,it's no big deal.

Would it help if I made a DVD of the movie from the file I just downloaded and mailed it to you?  Cause I could probably do that.

Doctor Who?

That would be Great! ;D  Thanks.  I'll PM you with my address.  Thanks again! ;D
