First Gary Coleman, now Dennis Hopper.. Who's next? :( :(

Death does come in three's it seems.

RIP Dennis Hopper  :(

Dio Died efore them, so I claim Dennis Hopper is the 3rd

Agree, no more deaths are needed.

Agreed.  And as far as death trios go, Ronnie James Dio, Gary Coleman, and Dennis Hopper are a very cool one, indeed.  Still sad to see them go, but they were all three very awesome in their own way.

I guess I should finally get around to watching Blue Velvet.  Also Waterworld, because nothing is Dennis Hopper crazy like Waterworld!

Oh, and Land of the Dead.  Hell yeah.

i suggest texas chainsaw massacre to anyone who has not seen it.  really a underrated gem, and dennis hopper is wonderfully insane in it.

He's not as well known as Dennis (among this group, I think) but there was another celebrity death recently: Art Linkletter (I remember him from the original "Kids Say the Darndest Things" show)

At least he lived to a nice ripe old age though.

A friend of mine pointed that out...to me, however, celebrity deaths are only interesitng if it's other than natural causes.  I know cancer can happen naturally (there's something to keep you awake tonight), but dying peacefully at 97 is a more or less natural death.

That said:  Adopted by a one legged man...played the triangle while his family preached on street corners...found out when he was twelve...road railroads at sixteen...worked on Wall Street...merchant marine in Hawaii and Rio De Janeiro...over 9000 radio broadcasts...

I can only conclude that Art Linkletter is not a real person, because that life sounds too awesome.

Ok, is the grim reaper just standing by in Hollywood?  :-\

We've lost another one: http://www.comcast.net/articles/entertainment/20100603/US.Obit.Rue.McClanahan/

"Blanche" from the Golden Girls died of a stroke.

There's no better time, then, to watch Hollywood After Dark.
Not everybody is Steve!

I don't think that Dio counted in the death trifecta.  It stands at Dennis Hopper, Gary Coleman, and Rue McClanahan.  I don't know why....maybe it's because Dio knew the devil personally.

Oh that's right, we're not counting Art either  ;)

It's damn shame.  Even in lesser roles, he always brought a burst of energy to the film and in his best roles he was electrifying.
