Order FAIL!

Hey Torgo, Connor, or whoever.

I ordered a $50 e-gift card and New Moon today. I've been having a LOT of trouble with the main page. The browsers would keep showing "unable to connect" and so I'd refresh the page. Well I guess it did go through... because I got an email that my order was completed and files were ready. I have my account credited, and downloaded my mp3 for new moon. But I checked my credit card statement and it has 6 temporary authorizations for this. Please cancel five of them if you can.

But yeah today I cannot freely access the main page or files easily. Don't know if the server is flooded with people getting the new moon riff, maintenance is being done, or what. The forums work fine though. Hope you get it fixed soon. I look forward to watching New Moon tonight... god I can't believe I ever would say those words..

The site works absolutely flawlessly for me, and we've had no notifications of any server failures. Those temporary holds should go away on their own, though - but let us know if they don't in a couple business days.

let me describe what is happening on my end for you.

I click over to the main site.. It is VERY slow to load. Maybe a 1/2 to a full minute for anything to show up. Forums load in 2-3 seconds.

Catalog takes about 20 seconds to load and the bar at the top is messed up. (see here)

I try to order Call it Free Pt 2. The look is messed up again for me. Background is completely white. The Buy Rifftrax/IRiffs/community/ etc banner is like it was on the last page but down one side. Then it has my order so that part is fine. again page was a little slow to load.

Next I try clicking over to the shorts to try and buy another short I am missing. The pages takes 2 1/2 minutes (I timed it) to load. And when it does load, it didn't load the way it should look like (see here)

Click on Teenage drug addict. page loads in 40 seconds and looks the same as the last one.

try adding it to the cart and get a "Connection timed out" . This is what I kept getting when I tried ordering earlier.

Are you downloading anything? The forum makes sense because there are pretty much 0 graphics. The main site is a little heavier on content (about 1MB). What kind of internet connection are you on?

For me, on Roadrunner cable, not downloading anything or watching any streaming videos, the main site takes about 2 seconds or less to load. I haven't gotten a connection timeout in a long, long time.

I'd check out speedtest.net and try testing some locations. I think there is something wrong on your end.

Can anyone else say anything on this? Anyone having really long load times on the site?

I am on my wireless laptop with a high speed cable and no other downloads or streaming video. My network is private and my laptops firewall is off right now. Still same thing.

the speed test and did San Diego. I got 8.31 mbps download and 1.03 for upload

for London England I got 8.29 mbps download and .99 for upload.

For Tokyo I got 7.56 download and 1,05 upload


I tried my desktop model and it is the same thing. No other problem site what soever. Amazon is fine, forums are fine, the video site i visit are fine, torrents are fine, etc. Only problem I'm having is Rifftrax main page.. Weird..

I'm having the same problem,  can't get the main page to load, or it loads funny and doesn't work right. I haven't been able to get it to load properly for 2 days now. I really wanted to buy the New Moon Riff but I can't even get that far.

What browser are you guys using? I have never seen this. The site has been super fast for me these days, no problems whatsoever.
