only for a couple more movies.  Any proof that the tax loophole has been closed?

Looking at all the video game movies that Uwe supposedly has in pre-production, I wonder if he already secured funding...

mrbasehart

I wouldn't be surprised if he just went to another country and successfully exploited their tax breaks to make movies.

sarcasm_made_Easy

HA eventually he will be making movies in arabic just so the saudis can claim to make movies once in a while :)

Swish

As far as I know the tax loophole hasn't been closed, merely tightened.

Tightened so that it only applies to German national directors. So Uwe's safe. Damn it all.

So the torrent of crap continues...

The thing is, I still quite like Uwe Boll's movies.  Sure they're rubbish, but I kinda enjoy them for it.  Long may they continue!  ;D

I think only because Bay is mutilating the Transformers, I hate him just slightly more than Uwe Boll.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

We will see... but I can't imagine the movie being that bad. Even Michael Bay's worst movies are
not "the worst" films ever. I think rather Joel Schumacher and George Lucas have earned that honor.

I know tons of people DESPISE joel schumacher but ive never understood why fully.  Yes he really really has made some of the WORST films ever, but he has made some decent ones.  I liked a time to kill, i liked phonebooth ( i realize i am on my own on that one), i know a number of people who like the lost boys, and falling down was ok.  So thats still better than ANY uwe boll film.  I mean what about brett ratner?  He is pretty awful.

Uwe Boll isn't a director. He's Satan. Actually, you know what? I'm going to apologize for that. That's an insult to Satan.
This iRiff will only be on sale for another few hours. Get it while it's cheap!

I think what happened on the lost boys is that he had some sanity way back when, plus 49% of it was probably shot by a 2nd or 3rd unit director. So there's my explanation. And I think Brett Ratner is also pretty awful, I think he likes to direct on automatic pilot.

man, phone booth has fans?! sheesh...
the only phone booth I want to see in my movies are of the time traveling variety ;)

He ruined Batman.

QuoteHe ruined Batman.

Truly he did.  There is no argument any can make against that.

QuoteIf Phone Booth is any good, it was because of Cohen, not Schu"muck"e

The writing was very good, but also keifer sutherland played a throughly enjoyable psyco.

still i thought actual directing wasnt bad.
