I am having a lot of trouble synching this riff with the movie and I have no idea why.  Is there a certain version (cut/uncut) of the movie you have to have?

my bet is that you have downloaded the PAL riff for an NTSC movie (or vice versa).  if you are in North America, you need to download the NTSC version otherwise the riff will be out of sync

Also make sure it's the theatrical version.

Just make sure you got the right MP3 file (NTSC for North America, PAL otherwise).

There are two cuts, the theatrical ending and the alternate ending, but both are virtually the same except for the last two minutes.

I tried both versions both still can't sync it up.  However, the way I am doing it may be the problem, if any one can help.
I was trying to use Windows Movie Maker to mesh the Rifftrax with the movie, which is in .wmv format (yes I do own the movie and paid for the riff, I'll explain more about this at the end).  I got the Rifftrax to 2:30 and the movie to :17 and it seems to start out ok, it starts loosing synch when the woman pulls up in the car.  The "big and impressive" lines don't match up, and even when I move the track a bit forward or back to match it up, the rest of the riff is off.
The reason I need to mesh the two is because I wanted to watch this with my mother, who has MSNTV2, and we can share videos off my computer.  She is on a vent via trach and there is just no way she can hear the riff over my iPod, plus I don't even have a speaker for it.  So, if any one knows what I'm doing wrong, I really appreciate it.

Did you download the WMV of the movie? Or did you make it yourself from your DVD?
