And by the way...

The fact that Kevin's a Ghostbuster is cool enough, getting Bill to do the Vincent Price in House on Haunted Hill routine is brilliant.

Put me in the "aw crap, now I have to see this movie" group.  Not cause I don't like horror movies, I love em, it's just, this one looks about as scary as...well, something that isn't.

I'm not very good with the words today.

If only there was some way to make it funny instead...

It's very much in the "Blair Witch" type of horror film. Some folks will find it terrifying. Others will find it really lame. I'd recommend at least giving it a watch before the riffing though as personally I found it to be mildly unsettling.

Thrifty

Guys, this is a Rifftrax (is that the right singular form?  Rifftrack just sounds wrong.)  The quality of the movie is irrelevant.

Thrifty

I assume the Rifftrax is for the original theatrical ending, not the alternate ending?  The two are exactly the same length, so it wouldn't cause sync issues.  It might make the riffs stop making sense near the end, like what happened with one of the Star Trek New Voyages riffs.

DAMMIT!! Netflix didn't ship this one!!

Guess I'll be making a run by the ol' RedBox after work..

EDIT: Sweet! It was at a RedBox right across the street from my plaza location!
I can make a backup and return it on the way home! :o

By the way.. DVD Shrink can't crack it so I'm using MagicDVDripper now and see how it goes..

RVR II

OK.. I'm having some issues with this one (maybe a couple of scuff marks on the disc but they look minor to me)..

Shrink is getting read errors, Magic dvd ripper gets most of the movie but drops the last 3-4 minutes, and DVD Fab can't seem to open it; even with the latest version (version 6.2.1.8 Released Dec. 31, 2009).. :-\
Anybody else having a problem ???

Yeah, I'm still working on this but I'm probably gonna take it home and try it on my 'master' computer and see what luck I have there.. :scared:

RVR II

Well I'm having No Luck so far..
I'm Hoping it's a disc issue and I'm taking this one back to the RedBox I got it from and go to another location and use the free code they gave me over the phone for my troubles ;D

I'll try again with the new disc this evening..

RVR II

OK.. Nuther update..

Looks like it may have been a scuffed disc issue cause my neighbor at our plaza location who sells DVDs also has a disc buffer/polisher and after he buffed and polished the RedBox disc, DVDShrink still couldn't access it, but DVDFAB did!! :o

Please can somebody confirm that the time length of this movie Actually IS 1 hour 26 minutes and 20 seconds ?? :speechless:

I made a copy of the dvd last night and it came out to 1:26:20, so it seems you have cracked the DVDs code. I copied the Theatrical version, as that is the version i suspect they will be riffing on. Although it is the same exact time as the alternative ending version.

You might also want to look into buying AnyDvd. I use it to bypass any copy protection on DVDs. It has always worked for me, never had 1 issues with all the Rifftrax releases. Well beside Drag me to hell, but that was a bad DVD i suspect.

Awesome!! :highfive: Thanks for that info!!

Noted. I have been looking into AnyDVD for a while now; just never got the funds set aside to make the purchase yet :-[
