10. Transformers: Revenge of the fallen
9. GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra
8. Inglorious Basterds
7. Zombieland
6. The Men who Stare at goats
5. The Hurt Locker
4. Up
3. Casino Royale
2. Watchmen
1. Star Trek

Please bear in mind when I made this list... I consider everything after the top spot to be a VERY distant 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on. And I suppose out of respect for those who despise Revenge of the fallen, I only saw about 15-20 movies this year, grand total so I didn't have many to pick from in the first place.

I HAVE to know what five to ten movies you saw that were worse than Transformers 2?!

All about Steve, Old Dogs, The Ugly Truth, Amelia, Whiteout, Terminator: Salvation, Did you hear about the Morgans? (Can we leave it at that please? I don't want this to escalate into an argument)

Yeah.... lucky I saw most of them at the dollar theater. Whiteout was in my opinion the worst. I couldn't believe that movie was as bad as the reviews said... it was worse.

(I wasn't going to escalate it into anything, I wouldn't try to argue opinion! I was just curious)

Haha, Whiteout was the only one on the list that I thought had potential. Shame - I really like the comic.

Right, sorry, I just have been trying to keep from having anymore conflicts with people on the board. As for Whiteout, I admit I never read the comic so maybe I'm not qualified to judge it, but what I saw was pretty bad.

This really was a fun year for me...

1. Drag Me to Hell (the ride of '09 for me)
2. Crank 2 (Neveldine & Taylor managed to make it more insane than its predecessor, and it's so bloddy awesome!)
3. Avatar 3D (the story's prosaic, as I anticipated, but the round-trip ticket to Pandora was worth its weight in admission)
4. Twilight: New Moon (silly, silly, silly, silly...and Alice)
5. Inglorious Basterds (and this is the face of Jewish vengeance...fuck yeah.)
6. District 9 (Even though I had Alien Nation in my mind while watching it, it still was a really good time, and that alien weaponry...nice)
7. Dead Snow (nazi-zombies, sign me up!)
8. Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus (thanks,Asylum!!)
9. The Final Destination (oh Death, your whimsy entertains me)
10. Friday the 13th (To my sheer surprise, I really enjoyed it.)

Just missing the cut: (500) Days of Summer.

Now bring on Scott Pilgrim in '10!!!

8. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
7. Star Trek
6. Watchmen
5. District 9
4. Avatar
3. Moon
2. Up
1. Inglorious Basterds

I haven't seen all the big movies yet (Up in the Air, An Education, etc.) but I did like all these movies a lot.

I saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs the other day.  That's going into my top 10 for this year.  :)

Everyone I've spoken to who's seen it loves it, it's just a shame so few people are interested in seeing it imo
