Hello riffers I just wanted to let you know that I am unable to play any of the movies i bought on the riff player. Is there a way that I can play the riffs through Windows Media Player instead? I ask about WMP specifically because thats what plays DVDs on my computer when I watch them.

sorry people I already know this is in the wrong place but please respond anyway if you can help.

You can download and play the mp3 versions in Windows Media Player and play the dvd separately, instructions for how to sync them up are on the mp3 itself.

Yeah, I'm afraid the old "manual sync method" is the only way to go these days.  The RiffTrax Player is no longer supported, and has a whole slew of problems that make it an iffy proposition at best.

They are working on putting together a new player that works better, but that's still a ways out.  The good news is, manually syncing the riff to your movie is easy to do, and works great.  If you need any help getting it working, there are plenty of people around the forum who are willing to lend a hand.

If you like watching Rifftrax on your computer, you could use a combination of Windows Media Player and VLC Media Player. VLC Media Player is a program that you can download for free. It can play MP3s, DVDs, and other stuff. Just play the Rifftrax MP3 file on one program and your DVD on the other one. Also, be sure to use the NTSC MP3 if you're in the United States.
