Review Site by MSTies: How Annoying Is It?

So a bunch of us MSTies grew up and had kids. Those kids like to watch movies and tv shows. And that can be painful.

In response to this crisis, we just launched HowAnnoyingIsIt.com, a review site for parents in the spirit of Mike Nelson's Movie Megacheese (Is it the finest literary classic of our time? Perhaps.) We see it as a Public Service website, warning parents about the infuriating content of such horrors as "Strawberry Shortcake," and "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," while guiding them toward more innocuous choices.

It's brand new, so we'd love to hear your thoughts!

Awesome!  As a parent of a 3 year old and a 1 year old, I've been driven insane by marathons of Curious George and things like that.  It's always bothered me that the one older kid thinks George is a "city kid" and not a monkey.  And why is everyone ok with a monkey running around the city (or country) in the first place???

Heh, not a bad site.  While i don't have kids, if i did, this seems like something i would use.   And i like the fact that instead of warnings about "sheltering" your child, you're basically warning parents how much the movie would annoy them.  Nice use of "Mostly Harmless", as well.

K1, I understand your uneasiness about Curious George. Still, you have to admit, his monkey credentials are very, very impressive. I'm sure even GODO in Time of the Apes would have enjoyed his company.

He would have an impressive resume that's for sure!  (Still concerned about the kid who think's George is a "city kid" someone should get that boy some help!  )

I've shared the link with a few of my friends who have kids (and my mom who is a principal at a school).  The reviews are great!

My only suggestion is that the organizational structure of the site is a bit confusing for finding past reviews. I think some kind of alphabetized master listing would be a good idea. Whenever I go through movie review sites... I'm always searching for a specific review. Just an idea.

Thanks, Piobman. I took your advice, adding an option in the sidebar to find reviews. I split up the master list between TV Shows and Movies.
