As long as Spinal Tap has been mentioned... I'd love to see Christopher Guest take a shot at a Rifftrax... as any of his wonderful characetrs from his various films. Same with Harry Shearer and Michael McKeon...

I think David St. Hubbins and Nigel Tuffnel would be hilarious riffers...

They could riff the Mark Wahlberg dud, Rock Star.

That should be a follow-up question to the main question of this thread.  What film would you have your ideal Guest Riffer riff on?

Doc Hammer of The Venture Brothers (any show whose season finale features a face-off with David Bowie against Iggy Pop and Klaus Nomi CLEARLY has the right mindset for Rifftrax)

Joss Whedon

Alan Tudyk (I know, it seems like I'm on a Firefly kick, but he's REALLY funny)

I don't know if anyone outside the UK has heard of him, but Harry Hill would be hilarious.  And his day job is riffing on english TV!

Senrab

Kevin smith, definatly

Weird Al, more than definatly, but he'd kinda get annoying after awhile.

Robin Williams? best improviser I've ever seen. and he'd do anything for a laugh. Thoughts?

I'll put in a third nomination for Maurice LaMarche.

He's brilliant! I'd love to hear him riff just as The Brain. He's got the perfect voice and manner for riffing. Plus, he can fake belch better than anyone in showbiz!

Don't know how much that would help a rifftrak, but there you have it.

OK, I think we have plenty.  I'm going to tally up all the nominations and set up some polls, over in the Suggest-A-Trax subforum.  Give me a little time, I am at work.  They will be up some time later today.

Nooo...think about it, he'd never shut up for the whole movie, and just go into one long-winded improv trance...

I'm just going to assume this is still open since I'm not going to bother reading it all now  :P

Maddox (thebestpageintheuniverse.com since they're doing lowtax)
Bob AND Dave since I caught a nomination for just David Cross I think earlier...

agreed...  it's hard to listen to him do the same voices and everything for more than 10 minutes
