Missing DVD!

When I was making movies in high school, I burned a whole bunch of dvds and sold them for 5 bucks a piece.  I went through a lot of trouble making the inserts for the case and printing on the dvd.  After I handed out most of them I found a teacher who had wanted one.  I didn't want to wait until he watched it to see what he thought of the dvd label so I told him "Open it up, I think you'll like it a lot."

Well, he opened it up, and there was no dvd inside.  Man, that was awkward.  Luckily that was the only missing dvd, but i know how ya feel Rifftrax.  I'm still baffled that that happened with the one dvd that was missing.

Not sure how this happened either. Monty was your DVD still in its shrink-wrap? That's how we got the shipment, a box full of packaged DVDs, so the issue most likely occurred at the pressing plant. Weird, eh.

So did Mike sign a pile of covers and send them off to the pressing plant?

I used to work at a CD store for years, and this kinda' stuff used to happen quite a bit. As an employee though, it always seems really sketchy the first time someone claims they got an empty case. Of course, after it happened once or twice i stopped eyeing the poor customers with an evil, accusing stare~

The funniest though, was when customers got the wrong CD inside their case. I loved when some confused kid would try to return their NSYNC album because it had a reissued Foghat CD inside!

I used to work at a record store in the 80's (fyi: records were flat vinyl disc-shaped objects with grooves pressed into them; you had to have a complicated aparatus with a diamond needle to play them). I remember once we had a bunch of albums by Stanley Jordan (jazz guitar guy, very mellow) which contained a metal album by a group called Accept (I believe that was Yngwie Malmsteen's first band). The label said Stanley Jordan, even on the disc, but the music was Accept, lol. You can imagine the reactions we got from the reserved jazz crowd on that one...

Believe so. Either that or they were signed and THEN shrink-wrapped but to be honest I don't know which one is the way it went. I can find out, either way it's not a big deal. At least it's his signature (real Sharpie!) and the Missing DVD was replaced.

Huzzah!

Yeah, the first package I got had a shrink-wrapped DVD case which had no DVD inside.  Maybe someone at the DVD plant is a Stooge fan?
