Hey everybody, it's Matt from Disciples of Golan -- we did an iRiff of Superman IV awhile back that 31 people have legally seen so far, of at least five of whom testified to enjoying. Anyway two of my fellow riffers and I are doing a live stand-up DVD taping in Ann Arbor and would love to have some of the Rifftrax sensibility present in the audience. While we all work regularly in clubs and one-nighters, our styles are all respectively in line with a more, "edgy," "alternative," pop-culture-reference-y sensibility than typical Midwestern dick-joke fare. Hopefully I can get a little more media up to let you know what we're all about, but until then, here's the link to the official show page:

and here's some of the promo:

The write-up:

"Thirsty?  Get drunk on laughs Thursday night, September 24th at Ann Arbor Comedy Showcase with "The Harangueover," an evening of smart, edgy stand-up featuring three of the Detroit area's hottest young up-and-comers.

-Adam Sokol (New York Comedy Contest) a kind of a punk rock nerd who pulls no punches and never talks down to the crowd,

-Nate Fridson (New York Comedy Contest, Detroit International Comedy Festival), a little man with big comedy chops who has turned sarcasm into an art form,

-Matt McClowry (Boston Comedy Festival), a gentle giant who wows audiences with his acerbic wit and unique stage presence.

These three have spent years toiling in the comedy trenches and are prepared to deliver their very best for the low price of $5! Check out these funnier-than-funny people before they become names in comedy (or come to their senses and go back to college)!"

Hopefully that wasn't too annoying and needy.
