I took the Scouts to Lake Blanche this weekend.  It's a cool 3 mile hike that starts about 20 minutes from my house.

My camera phone sucks.
That does look like a nice view, no chocolate banana stands inn the vicinity though I take it?

You know, I looked, but I couldn't find one :)

Where the fuck is DB's photoshop skills when you need him?!?!

That would explain the slightly wistful look in your eyes.

Indeed

Okay, so for the last seven years I've been taking self-portraits as a hobby. I was ill a lot and rarely left the house so I needed to find a way to express myself that I could do at home. I'm starting to feel settled in here so I thought I'd show you guys some.  :)

And this is my newest one:

Anyway, thanks for indulging me.  :D

Johnny Unusual

Good stuff!  Very impressive.

I took a self portrait today, but it didn't turn out nearly so well. I blame myself for not flushing the toilet before holding the camera above my head in the bathroom.

I like yours much better. Muccchhh better.

Yeah those pics are really good modelmeg! :o
I might need to work on doing some self shots like that ;D

So is your user name aspirational or descriptive? What I mean is do you have representation, because if not you might want to look into that, you've  evidently been building a portfolio. :)

Were you in Detroit I'd love to talk to you about possible photo shoots.

Also:

Fish line? Or rotated angle?

Pumpkinpearl obliquely hits upon an interesting point.  I like that the camera is not visible in any of your self portraits.  Pointing a camera at a mirror is so tacky.  Do smart phone cameras not have timers?  Can people not find others to take their pictures?

I was just about comfortable enough on the forums that I was considering posting my mug in the FTTN thread, and I think Meg just set me back another six months.

I don't have representation. I couldn't do this as a job. For one thing, I still don't have reliable enough health to do so. Thank you about the offer, though! Also, fish line.  ;)
Locust, no! Post please! Remember, lighting, photoshop, and seven years of practice. It's impressive what those can do to a photo. Thanks for the lovely comments, everyone. Very much appreciated.

Tripe

Not a prob, sent you a message on FB. :)

I really like the pendant picture, it's very nicely composed.
