Well.....might have some potential.  Heavy CGI but then recreating times and places that are to expensive to do physically is what it's for.

Hopkins being involved makes me nervous - he was in Coppola's Dracula, after all.  And we've learned from Michael Caine's quote about Jaws 4 that great actors do take things that suck just for the paycheck.

I liked Bram Stoker's Dracula.

That movie was terrible! I could only get through maybe 10 minutes before I threw up a little in my mouth and had to turn it off.

Of course I made the mistake of reading the book first.

Again, they can't resist tinkering with things (Lucy and Mina are sisters for some reason).  But nothing major - no reincarnated lovers, Harker goes to Transylvania, Renfield is just a nut.  And it's very good.  Frank Finlay's Van Helsing is charming.
