You've really never heard of Carrot Top?

Honest to the Gods, I'd never once heard the name dropped before Rifftrax.

You have to realise, I don't watch TV, which means I don't get exposed to a lot of stuff people who do watch it are.  Like marijuana, I can't afford it--I actually wish I could sometimes, especially because whenever I'm staying somewhere that has cable, I do love to watch Adult Swim, and what little other true weirdness exists in that realm.

As long as we're asking...

Could someone please tell me what the "Hawk or Hawks" thing is from.

It's from one of the earliest Rifftrax, for Over the Top.  The main character, play by Sylvester Stallone, is named either "Hawk" or "Hawks" depending on which one the actor addressing him remembered to utter.  The vocal inflection often used is that of Hawk(s)' father in law played by Robert Loggia.

Thank you Thrifty :D Never seen Over the Top, but I've been told the Rifftrax for it is good.

It's a solo riff, so maybe not as good as most, but I found it to be my favorite of the solo riffs.

This one goes back a little further....

Is there any MST3K origination to the use of "Huzzah!"?  Was there any specific moment in one of the movies or sketches or is it just because people yell it at Ren Fests?

Not sure if it was the absolute first time they used it, but Pod People was the episode that seemed to use it the most (whenever the bearded leather mug maker guy was on screen). As I understand it, it's just because whatever was in the movie reminded them of a Renfest.

That is what I recall as well.

I thought it was only Robert Loggia's character that screwed it up.

I could be wrong, but I thought that even Stallone messed it up.

Ha! That would be great! I should watch that one again.

Okay, here's another. I've heard this one at least twice. Most recently in I Am Legend, which I just watched.

Referring to someone named "Sam" - "You made the pants too long!"

I get the impression this is something well known, but apparently I don't know it.

It is a song that Allan Sherman did as well as Barbara Streisand and Diana Ross and the Supremes.
