We had several dropouts (4?) and it really was unfortunate because it broke the flow of the whole thing.

To make matters worse, the theatre staff were total douchebags. Everyone in the audience was overly polite about the problems and seemed like they were all smart enough to know it was being caused by the rainstorm, but the only acknowledgement of the dropouts was after about the third glitch, at which point the "management" sent in a squeaky-voiced teen usher to say the projectionist was "working on it".

They were so attentive to the problem that the house lights were left on for about 15 minutes after one of the dropouts recovered. I think the only reason why they were ever turned off is an audience member finally went out to complain. Then when the show was over the houselights never came on, so everyone had to file out in the dark.

What we saw of the show was pretty good, but the people running the event had the brains of Eegah and the speed of Torgo.

Look forward to the next one, just either switch theaters or make sure the staff actually pays attention to the event.
