Wow....finally some action!

(remembering that trailers can be edited to make things look much more exciting/interesting/anything than the movie really is)

I thought the same thing, too. But after watching the first two movie with Rifftrax (and Ice on Mars  :D) I know better than to beleive that something interesting will happen.

So how is this "vampire army" related to Bella, then? Because everything in the books revolves around this self obsorbed shrew. But why would they come to Forks otherwise?

It's directed by the guy who did 30 Days of Night....I've heard generally more good things than bad about that. Maybe he got his way on the action scenes if he kept the moping/staring/pausing scenes the way the fans want them?

The Vampire Army is all about killing Bella.  Victoria has put them together to help her revenge James being killed by just randomly infecting everyone she can find. I think she gets help from another one that can influence the others to follow them (don't quote me).

And yet the Volturi - who doesn't want vampires calling attention to their existence by killing openly - is more worried that Bella hasn't been turned yet than about Victoria mass murdering?

BTW, love the call-back to the movie Shock Waves as the vampire army walks out of the lake....   ;)

Also, WTF is up with Harpo's hair?

They finally let it grow out a bit?  But then the one that Carlisle is faux feeling up is Esmee with different hair, too.

Maybe Victoria killed their hairdresser?  Hit them where they really live....

She need an ARMY to kill Bella?! Gah! Just leave her with the Cullens for a few more weeks, Edward will probably shoulder check her into a tree or something trying to "save" her.

It does show that I was rigt to just assume it was all about Bella. As this whole book series is just a justification to the self absorbed tweenage girl fanbase.

Why doesn't she just get a gun and shoot Bella? For the same reason that the Cullen's don't invest in stuff like make up so they can hide their true nature and blend in with humans more easily. Vampires, underneath their beautiful personas, are total dumbasses.

Because Jacob and his den mates haven't let Victoria close enough to Bella and the Cullens to know how self-destructive the whole situation is.  The "shape shifters" getting involved really only made things worse.

I heard recently that the director promised an R rated horror film and in fact turned that in.  He was then kicked out of the editing room and the studio brought in their own editor to make it PG-13.

They're going to riff this aren't they.... and I'm going to buy it aren't I.... and I'm going to make my younger brother and best friend watch it with me so that I will not suffer alone!

Also, off topic yet still somehow on, anyone hear that Kristen Stewart will be stumbling and stuttering her way into Wanted 2 as a replacement for Angelina Jolie? Nice way to trade down there, WB.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

Not unexpected.

The majority of the fan base wouldn't be allowed into an R-rated film on their own.  And the studio can't depend on parents to have free time to take them back over and over again.

Could be cool if the R-rated version is released someday.

How could there be an R rated version?  Doesn't something R rated have to happen to get an R rating, and nothing ever happens in Twilight ;)
