I am from North Tonawanda, NY, but I go to Nazareth College in Pittsford, NY which is just an extension of Rochester (or so I am told).

Are you a Sabres fan?

I've been to a few games, got a few free pucks, been caught in the middle of a fan fight, but that was quite a while ago. I haven't seen a game in years. The whole fiasco with Golisano speaking against the Senecas building a casino in Buffalo next to the arena (where it would interfere with his team's fanbase) had me a little peeved... That and I have never actually met an intelligent Sabres fan in my area (sorry if you are a fan  :o) and the waves of dumb that would emanate from my TV if I turned on a game would probably turn me into a vegetable.

Oh I am a fan. But, not of the Sabres.
Just a fan of the game. If I had to pick a team, it would be the Sens.

I do like hockey, and if it isn't Sabres I'll probably put it on but personally, I'm more of a Rugby person.

I live (and study) in Salford which is more or less part of Manchester.

Plenty of knife and gun wielding kids about.

I'm originally from Melton Mowbray, which is a small town in the middle of England that is sort of famous for pork pies. It's one of those places where the claim to fame is constantly rammed down your throat. As nice as the pies are, I fail to see how constructing a novelty pork-pie-shaped seat is really going to "boost tourism". Apart from the weird rural folks it's a nice enough place, though.

The two things I miss the most from my many travels through England are the pubs and the meat pies... <sigh>  :'(

BEERxTaco

Ya them too... I just love all the pub food.

Not sure about the bubble and squeak though  :-",

I presumably live in the same place as Pak, although I'm not always sure. For the record, NM is the brownest place ever.

I'm a transplanted South Texan though. San Antonio to be specific.

   Go Spurs Go!!!   ;)

Are you a Rampage fan?

I also have a friend who plays for the Texas Wildcatters in Beaumont. But he's been called up to the Toronto Marlies for the time being.

Because San Antonio has nothing else going on.

I mean, the only other thing it's known for is The Alamo which (and I say this as a native so I have the right to judge) is really, really boring. San Antonio is also obsessed with obtaining some form of worldly noteriety so anything (ie: Major sports team) that throws it onto the National stage is automatically first and foremost in the culture there.

And the Spurs are a darn fine team.  ;)  And yes, gammer. I am.

Don't forget the River Walk and the filming location of the original "The Getaway"...

When you're a native, you don't go to the Riverwalk very much. It's mostly there for tourists.

Awesome Mexican food there, though. When I moved here to NM, it just wasn't the same.
