I thought he posted it because we "fumbled the ball" so to speak.

So let's get back to the topic at hand....how do who do we bribe/kill/or convince to give us a second chance at what the movie is?

I'm a big pizza and beer fan...

Sure I'll mail you a pizza from Camillis http://www.restaurantdb.net/restaurants/reviews-121071.html here in Florida....give it a week or so then

Your from Florida? Me too. I live in Orlando. Anyhoo, I'll Fedex torgospizza a nice case of Killians Irish Red. That should fix things.
Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!

Hey guys. Just been reading through everything. It's too bad that we didn't get it. However, I believe I might have picked up some clues. Conor posted this video:

Which made me wonder why he did that. Yes it was a cool game and I'm glad that my hometeam won, but he put no comment to it. Possible Clue.

Then I saw this on my IMDB power search list:

The Sea Hawk. 1940. Adventure Romance starring Errol Flynn. http://us.imdb.com/title/tt0033028/

It fits all of the criteria from our 20 questions (not drama/action, starts with S, only oscar nominated) and fits in with Conor's posting of the turning point in the Hawks/Cowboys game.

I believe that is what it is. Little weird for them to do a rifftrax for it, though, since it would probably be public domain by now and Legend could colorize it and release it with Mike's commentary, but I'm not complaining.

The Sea Hawk is in Black And White.

It's been colorized.

Yeah I am in the west palm beach area...I have family in Orlando, I go up there all the time...Orlando get's old to me....but it can be fun.

Oops... I thought of that while I was driving home, lol...

I doubt that Rifftrax is going to do a Riff of a poorly colorized film, when Legend has pretty much perfected the art of colorization.  And the most recent DVD release is in the original B&W.

Super Dragon: Sorry, but that's not the one. This was a tough game but I think you're going to like our big reveal, sometime in the next week or so :)

MrTorso: I will gladly accept beer offerings next week in San Fran - matter of fact I think most of us would ;)  Not that it will get you VIP member status or anything. But the pictures will be funny enough to show the rest of the forum.

AmandaGal: I used to program in BASIC and QuickBasic. Remember Noodles and Gorilla Wars? Yeah, good times. I used to get online through a local library service that had Archie, Gopher and finger servers setup. I used to connect to Hotmail with a text-based interface! White screen on black text *shudders*. Right up there with Nescape Communicator 1.0. Little did this Library service know, you could weasel your way through menus and connect to Telnet servers. Were you ever on the Internet TeleCafe (based in Toronto)?

Saucy: Orlando does get old fast. I've been to Venice, Sarasota, Orlando, Kissimmee, Cocoa Beach (seen the shuttle go up, pretty sweet) and Miami. Miami sucks, I don't know how anyone can stand the heat and humidity. It's warm here in San Diego but we don't get swampy from just stepping outside.

To all: Your speculation about black and white movies intrigues me. It's a question you might consider revisiting.

Regarding the "leet" listing - it's an easter egg with this forum software. It means the user had made 1337 posts. Going back to script-kiddies as it were, you guys are right on that one.

MontyServo

I'm sorry that I missed this 20 questions today.  I'm not too sure on what the movie is gonna be.  But it should be really fun whatever it is.   ;D

Yeah 1337 speak started LONG before texting on cell phones....

Yes, I know that. But Cell phone instant messaging, and for that matter, other forms of instant messaging had a big influence on it. It made it far more commonplace then it used to be.

There are even translators out there on the web. Like This one.

And see what the translator does to this quote from TorgosPizza:

Before - "Super Dragon: Sorry, but that's not the one. This was a tough game but I think you're going to like our big reveal, sometime in the next week or so "

After - "SUP3R DRAGON SORY BUT TAHTS NOT TEH ON3!!!!11 LOL THES WAS A 2UGH GME BUT I THINK UR GONG 2 LIEK OUR BIG R3V3AL SOMETIEM IN DA NEXT WEK OR SO!!!11 LOL"

I actually grew up in Vero Beach before moving to Orlando. Anyhoo...come on Mods! Show us poor rifftrax fans some mercy!!! I'll throw in an extra case of PBR.

my idea of animated would have to be drawings not actual models
i wouldn't call harryhausen an animator

Then you'd be very, very wrong.

Animation is "the act of bringing things to life." It includes hand draw, computer animation, stop motion and zombie making. Some people even include puppets.

SecretAgentSuperDragon

Oh well, no Sea Hawk.  :)

I am interested though why rifftrax would release a commentary for a film that would have public domain by now, instead of doing it as the next Legend DVD, unless that is what you guys are doing. In that case, SWEET. Don't have to spend 20 minutes creating a re-authored dvd.

Heh, perhaps it is colorized rather than something released in color to begin with... which suggests an existing/upcoming Legend Films release... RiffTrax sold separately?
What do they have that starts with S?

Sherlock Holmes (one of four films they colorized) Based on a book
Seabiscuit: The Lost Documentary (1939)
Something from Shirley Temple?
