Do we have clues to some potential future Rifftrax in this month's column??  The theme is Funny Films (That Weren't Supposed to Be) and we've already been treated to #4 Crossroads and #3 Road House.
    The others are:

How do you feel about any of these movies becoming Rifftrax???

indifferent.  I'd rather see Mike doing total crap like Island of Dr. Moreau, Top Gun and Roadhouse.

I've never seen The Hours but The Village is too boring to be riffed.  It has a few parts that I can see being riffed, but the movie drags, if I recall, for majority of the time.  If he's going to do any of Shamalamadingdong's movies, he should do Sixth Sense.  I would hope he wouldn't resort to the old "I See Dead [insert thing]" jokes though.  Helen Keller jokes in The Village, same deal.

However, if how the universe usually reacts to what I think is any indicator, Mike will do The Village and toss Sixth Sense in the trash and it'll be a non-stop Helen Keller fest!

I can't see Mike doing any Shyamalan movies simply because they're all so slow. A slow patch in most movies can be good for some wacky off-on-a-tangent riffing, but Shymalan's movies are deliberately paced that way. That said, I think Signs would be best of them to riff, simply because it at least has a few EEK moments tossed in. And a really really really stupid premise.

I remember laughing quite a bit during The Hours.  Peversely, I chuckled most heartily when...

There's probably something wrong with me... ;D

I would most heartlessly enjoy an Hours riff.  ;D

I like Maddox's four-step review of that movie.  I actually changed my mind about that movie after reading it.  So thank you, Maddox, for helping me pull my head out of my ass and finally realize the truth: M. Night Shyamalan sucks.

Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Too boring to be riffed? I know what you're saying, but has that ever stopped them before? Castle of Fu Manchu anyone? Deep Hurting? Rock Climbing?  :D

Yeah, but do you really think Mike would subject himself, and us, to anything that dull again now that he can choose from virtually any movie?

If Mike is going to do an M. Night Shymalan movie it should be "The Lady in the Water". I invite that movie to pucker up and start smooching. Not since "What Lies Beneath" have I been so repulsed by a movie. As always this is just my humble opinion. ;D
Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!

I really enjoyed Lady In The Water, but I could certainly see why people wouldn't like it. Shyamalan set out to make a fairy tale in a realistic setting, and that requires the audience to accept a lot more than usual. But in general I still think that most people were just disappointed that it wasn't The Sixth Sense 2.
