The Item(1999)

The Item is one of my favorite crappy movies. Like myself, most people were tricked into seeing this because the caged monster on the cover does not match the actual movie monster. The story is basically four people buy a creature off of a crazy scientist and must keep it overnight at one of their girlfriend's place until another buyer will take it off their hands. The creature is released and mentally turns people against each other from inside a trashcan. Did I mention the creature is basically a giant penis?

This movie also features a chase scene involving our heroes and a group of transvestites. The director took a different approach and instead of running, everyone involved appeared to move as if they were on skateboards along with tire squealing effects. It really has to be seen to be believed.

The movie used gallons and gallons of blood. It is part horror, part action, part comedy and is kind of a requirement in my circle of friends. The ending is a little weird....even for this movie.
