Right:

I attended Ramapo College of New Jersey, mostly part time, from 1985 to 1994.  I took up photography.  Here are some pics that i have up in Flickr:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/35299851@N05/

{Ok, I have some video clips up there too}

When I graduated I got a job in a photo lab plus I worked on weekends for a wedding photographer.  Both jobs closed shop by 2001.  The wedding photographer retired and the photo lab closed due to lack of business.

The next 3 years were done with two jobs not related to what I was doing  :grr:

I wound up in a warehouse in its receiving dept by January 2004.  OK, it's not what I was doing back in my 20's but it has health benefits.  See the "Anomaly" post.

I like horror movies AND comedy shows.  This explains why my favorites in my YouTube channel are all over the map.

I like Monty Python, pre-MIA Dave Chappelle, and MST3K and its spin-offs.

As You can see from my avatar, I'm a "Twin Peaks"/ David Lynch fan.

Main Music likes: Alice In Chains, ELP, King Crimson, Pink Floyd & Yes.

Note: I DESPISE 80's HAIR METAL BANDS!!!!!!!!

BTW, those who know me well know that I have a "thing" for Naomi Watts.

Wow.  I was born March 27th too.  Different year; 1981.  So I was born exactly 14 years after you.

Hi, I'm a freshman in college. I haven't actually seen any RiffTrax yet. I've only seen 13 episodes of MST3K so far (I'll watch another one if I finish the paper I ought to be writing right now). I will probably end up dedicating my entire summer to watching RiffTrax and MST3k and stuff instead of editing my NaNoWriMo novel like I ought to do. I shouldn't be on here anymore until school ends, which is in two weeks. I'm an English major. So I'm a noob, yes, but I thought I would go ahead and introduce myself a little. I'll mostly be lurking.

Also, I'm going to make an iRiff this summer for fun. I'm just saying that so you all can hold me to it. Even though no one likely will, but if I think you will, I'll do it. So, yeah.

Some of my interests:
Harry Potter.
Wizard Rock.
Lemon Demon.
Zero Punctuation.
- The Chzo Mythos
Dr. Horrible.
Harry Potter.
The Left Behind series.
Heroes.
Wizard People Dear Reader.
YouTube.
- Nerdfighting.
- Vlogbrothers
- Five Awesome Girls
- Fred
- Ok, I'm subscribed to like, 100 people. If you're partnered, I've at least heard of you. I don't spend much time on there, though, since I'm in college. I pretty much only keep up with the Vlogbrothers. And some of my friends.
Harry Potter.
MST3K.
Harry and the Potters.
Posting on forums.
Nerdfighting, again.
Dragon*Con. I met Joel there last September, and some other guys from Cinematic Titanic.
I'm in Gamma Sigma Sigma, which is not actually greek, it's actually a service sorority.

And perhaps some more things I'm probably forgetting.

EDIT: Oh! I forgot Harry Potter! How the heck did I do that?! I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan! I even have my own Wizard Rock band! (But it's not that good. Well, one or two songs are OK-ish). And I went to two Harry Potter conventions next summer (which was back when I was a rich lifeguard. Ah, those were the days. Oh, yes, I'm also a lifeguard).

I also love Disney. And Peter Pan, yeah. I want to do that College Internship thing at Disney World.

Here's the basics on me:

- I was born on March 8th, 1984.
- I'm the oldest of two kids.  My younger brother will be 23 in May.
- I've lived in Minnesota all my life.  But I moved around quite a bit within the state when I was growing up.
- I'm left-handed.
- My then-best friend poisoned me when I was 4-years-old.  So, I'm naturally weary of trusting people now.
- Despite my high school art teachers saying I was an excellent artist, I became an accountant.
- Favorite books: A Song of Ice and Fire, Dresden Files, and Star Wars novels.
- Favorite movies: Glory, Gladiator, and Empire Strikes Back.
- Favorite music artists: 2Pac, Atmosphere, Eminem.
- Favorite TV Shows: Lost, 24, and MST3K.
- I love to write.  Despite that, I have a couple of ideas for novels that have been floating around in my head for years and I have not yet put down on paper.
- I have an IQ of 135.
- I've taken many tests and each has established that I'm whole-brained.  Which I've read is fairly rare.
- I won the grand prize the very first time I entered a funny car model building contest when I was 11.  It was also the last time I entered one of those contests.
- I'm a big Star Wars nerd.  I have every single novel that's been written.  I'm also unbeatable in Star Wars: Trivial Pursuit.
- I graduated from college when I was 19.  I've been working as an accountant for an office products company ever since.
- I used to write a lot of poetry.  A handful of them have been published.
- I love to grill.
- Subway tuna subs kick ass.
- I try to travel whenever I get the chance.  San Diego is my favorite place to visit.
- I prefer writing by hand over typing.
- I'm a huge self-critic and often think that whatever I do is not good enough.
- Because of my self-criticizing ways I have a tendency to leave many personal projects unfinished.
- My favorite colors are blue, red, and black.
- I love playing video games.  My nights are regularly spent on my X-Box 360.
- I try to read for at least an hour every day.
- I was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease a couple of years ago.
- I have never smoked, drank, or done drugs of any kind.
- I prefer dogs (big ones) over cats.  Although cats are cool as long as I don't have to live with them.
Imrahil: Don't care about Riding with Death.

Bob: Turkey.

Action Batch:  Woah, let's all mellow out and rap about this.

Courtney

Courtney: The Cliff's Notes

- I was born in Springfield, IL.  My whole family (aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins, second third and fourth cousins and so on, etc.) lives there.  I'm one of maybe two that moved away.  As much as I love Chicago, I've always referred to it as "Chicago" or "school" and Springfield was always "home."  I'm moving back there soon for grad school and love that I'll be back with my family.  We're all very close (a fairly stereotypical Italian Catholic family, sans mob ties... I think).  I have one brother, Eric, who's 21.  He's basically me.

- I went to Columbia College in Chicago.  I started as a film major, but the film kids were mean to me because I smiled a lot but wrote dark stuff so I confused them.  So I changed my major(s) to Marketing / Fiction Writing.  I don't regret the switch.  My concentration was screenwriting anyway, so I continued taking those classes while limiting my interaction with those horrid Directing majors.  Some of my best friends were also in the Film school and they all happened to be Editing or Sound Design majors.  I met two best friends in the world in a ballet class and a creative non-fic class, respectively.

- I work a meaningless horrible job that has in two years completely ruined my youthful idealism.  Hopefully my future as a teacher doesn't do the same.

- Top 5 Movies: Sweet Land, Say Anything, Clerks, Chinatown, Sixteen Candles
- Top 5 Bands/ Artists: Travis, Clem Snide, Patty Griffin, Okkervil River, The Replacements
- Top 5 TV Shows: MST3K, Doctor Who, Buffy, Kids in the Hall, How I Met Your Mother

- I've been in love once, for six years.  He had addiction issues.  He's okay now.

- I think peanut butter and pickle sandwiches are delicious, but they have to be the really light pickles, almost white.

- I had to give up coffee because of hormone issues (it's a whole different level of personal posting, I'll spare you) and I miss it so much.

- I love dark chocolate.  My favorite candy bars are Milky Way Midnights.

- I'm a wine girl, but I drink Stella at bars.  Or PBR, depending on who I'm with (this would be the bev of choice with my film school friends).  I don't drink vodka unless it's hidden in a Bloody Mary.  The last time I drank it in any other drink, I passed out on the L and woke up all the way on the south side.  I'd never been south of Soldier Field till then.

- I am pretty much always wearing jeans, a t-shirt and flats, sometimes with a scarf, cardigan or hat.  I rarely vary unless I'm at work.  I do not wear high heels.  I own my shortness (I'm 5'2").

- I speak before I think and I speak reallyreallyfast.

- I floss a lot and do yoga.

- The most played song on my iTunes is "Let Love In" by the Goo Goo Dolls.  I'm not particularly proud of this, but I do love that song.

Second specialty: I have worked in all sorts of Sports jobs, right out of high school at 18 i was highered to work as the music/sfx guy for the local Spring training stadium of the Marlins and Cardinals, from there I worked for ESPN Radio (Producing three local talk shows), the Marlins for one season (setting up the mic for the anthem singers on the field before the game then running the pitch board), then a local news paper the Palm Beach Post working in the Sports department as a writer/designer. All the while I kept pushing off school, I was offered a job at a huge company to produce their in house videos for the site unfortunately my first taste of a real corporate world almost put me on the brink of seppuku so I decided to quit and go back to school which is where I am now with my life.

(I left out a large portion of my life by choice, being sick with a rare disease during high school does not make a good read)

- I was briefly involved in a modern remake of the classic Gumby shorts that, sadly, never made it out of development. I was to provide the voices of both Prickle and Goo.

- I firmly believe that popular music peaked with the release of Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods' "Billy Don't Be a Hero", and has been in a steep decline ever since.

- I was born with a second set of nipples a few inches below the standard ones. During periods of high stress, they secrete a viscous, lemon-scented fluid that is highly toxic to felines.

- Due to a black smoke-related mix up, I was Pope for approximately 47 minutes in 1998.

- If you're the person whose buns I once cupped and shook in the produce department of Safeway, I am truly, deeply sorry. I had just had my pupils dilated at the optometrist, and I thought you were cantaloupes.

- I shot a man in Reno just to see if he'd really poop his pants right at the end. (He totally did!)

- I have not gained an ounce of weight in two decades, thanks to a bocce ball-sized clump of undigested Big League Chew that I amassed in my stomach throughout the 1980s.

- You do not want to know what effect the previous item has had on the rest of my digestive tract and its diabolic product.

- Daddy was a cop on the east side of chicago. Back in the U.S.A. Back in the bad old days.

- If I could choose to be any kind of tree, I would be Richard Roundtree. Because then I would be one bad muthashut your mouth! I'm just talkin' 'bout me!

- I was recently offered a knighthood by the British government, but was forced to decline due to my position as assistant secretary of the homeowners' association. Also, chain mail chafes my sensitive extremities something fierce.

- I once played a joke on somebody by putting pee pee in their Coke, though I have not a smidgeon of Chinese heritage.

- While vainly attempting to concoct an AOL screen name that was not already taken, I inadvertently hit upon an eldritch incantation that raises flesh eating demons from the depths of Abaddon. (For the sake of humanity, please never speak aloud the words, "KipperPantsAhoy41129.")

- Chuck Norris once broke six of my ribs with a ferocious roundhouse kick. Thankfully, he then unbroke them with a reverse roundhouse.

- Ugg Boots were my idea. Well, technically, somebody else came up with the design, materials, and styling, but I was the one who suggested they should be worn on the feet.

- I was conceived at a typically raucous Anne Murray concert. To this day, I can not hear "Snowbird" without getting a ferocious erection.

- I'm 100% certain that if Jm J. Bullock were given another TV show, he would really hit it out of the park this time.

- Oh, I almost forgot! During the brief time I was Pope, I decreed that birth control is A-OK. Have at it, Catholics!

- Researchers for Ripley's Believe it or Not have confirmed a curious phenomenon that occurs only on a tiny, isolated beach in southern Ecuador. There, if you pick up a conch shell and put it to your ear, you will hear not the ocean, but me humming the theme song to The Greatest American Hero.

- I'm currently in the process of developing and marketing my own designer fragrance. The people at Lancome are pretty excited about it. It's called "Gingivitis."

- I secretly believe that Tom and Katie really make a darling couple.

- Ever since Gordon Jump felt up Dudley on Diff'rent Strokes, I have been deathly terrified of Maytag appliances.

- I am an avid health food nut, and make my own high protein veggie-tofu fusion at home out of organic lettuce, tomato, bacon, and two slices of lightly toasted bread.

- I enjoy a rousing game of Guitar Hero, but I must admit to being a bit self-conscious about wearing the Official Guitar Hero Brand Crotchless Leather Chaps. Especially when I'm playing on the demo unit down at Best Buy.

- I don't really like talking about myself much, and will make up all sorts of crazy crap in order to avoid doing so.

B:  June 12      D: hopefully either painlessly or in a blaze of glory

I grew up in Massachusetts, the oldest daughter in a crazy, crazy family.
My Dad's family name has been documented since the 1600s in England, and it will end with me and my sisters. (possibly)

In 6th grade I punched a kid directly in the face - so far the only time I've ever done that.

I moved to Manhattan for art school in 2003, and after graduation moved to Boston with my boyfriend Andy.

One of my happiest college memories is staying up from 6pm to 6am the next morning watching Mitchell, Final Sacrifice, Werewolf + Horror of Party Beach with friends.

We have a black cat, Basil Rathbone.  He is not at all a clever Englishman.

My dad used to be a Bass in the Tanglewood Chorus under Seijiozawa and once John Williams

I have been to Ireland, Nor. Ireland, Quebec, and all over the East + Central US but never farther west than Des Moines, IA.

My favorite places:  Antrim, No.Ire   [specifically the cliff-side hamburger shack on the coast road]  +  Madison Sq Park, Flatiron District 23rd St.
