Mike's column in Cracked issue 3

[Rufus T]

If Mike is going to do an M. Night Shymalan movie it should be "The Lady in the Water". I invite that movie to pucker up and start smooching. Not since "What Lies Beneath" have I been so repulsed by a movie. As always this is just my humble opinion.

I really enjoyed Lady In The Water, but I could certainly see why people wouldn't like it. Shyamalan set out to make a fairy tale in a realistic setting, and that requires the audience to accept a lot more than usual. But in general I still think that most people were just disappointed that it wasn't The Sixth Sense 2.

I can accept what you're saying. I know a couple of people that like the movie too. And I understand what Shymalan was going for. It just didn't work for me for some reason. And even though the invitation for the movie to "pucker up" still stands, I still respect Shymalan for his past works.
