Well the year's nearly at an end, and the good people of Rifftrax have indicated Reign of Fire is it for the year, so I'm wondering which movie, unrifftraxed, would be the worst of the bunch.

Now before you go right for that Crossroads button, don't forget the inexplicable how-did-it-get-made quality of Dr. Moreau, or the Crushing Disappointment of Episode 1, or the Do-Nothing-ness of Firewall. Take every movie into consideration and decide which was the worst. Then, discuss. :^)

PJD

Dr Boreau for me. That one was mind numbingly bad.

BathTub

Yeah Island of Dr M is the clear winner for me, it's gets you screaming, how the hell did this get made?

Please, take the icebucket off your head.

kodiakthejuggler

Wow, tough decision!!

Of all the bad movies, Dr. Moreau, was almost the worst.

I have to go with The Grudge, simply because it was supposed to be a Horror movie, but failed miserably at that, and there was barely any grudge to be had. It was a whole lotta nothing. And so what if Sarah Michelle Gellar was in it. She didn't even fight the bad guy. At least Jayme Lee Curtis made an attempt to fight back.

Gotta go with XXX.  At one time, I actually thought Vin was a good actor.  And while the Pacifier and Fast and the Furious were bad, XXX takes the cake.  The movie is riddled with buzzwords and extreameness.  But the movie does become passable with Mike's commentary.
Anytime someone offers you 10,000 to 1 odds, you take it.
Lets just say if John Mellancamp ever wins an Oscar, I'll be a rich man.

All of these movies are good if your part of the target audience...

I abstain, although Crossroads / SW Ep. 1 are up there.

Im sorry but it was a real chore for me to sit through Cocktail...that movie is so bad and is probably worse than 1/4 of all the MST3K movies that were riffed....

Cocktail.  It's just utterly awful.  There's only one likeable character in the movie (Elisabeth Shue) and she ruins it by going back with the complete moron at the end!

Pak-Man

I'm holding off my vote until I see Reign of Fire tonight, but I suspect Dr. Moreau might get my vote. That move was just so... How did it get made?

RaoulDuke

the only one that i had trouble sitting thru
crossroads
all the others are great
Ninjas don't kill people, Pat Morita playing a ninja kills people.

Episode One. A convoluted conspiracy plot involving nothing that anyone gives a shit about, cringe-inducing dialouge, huge stretches of masturbatory CGI sequences where absolutely nothing interesting or of value to the story takes place, not a single decent performance to be found with maybe the exception of Liam. (Considering the material and that he was obviously coasting for a paycheck, he's not bad.). It's just a waste on every level not involving computer graphics and on a few levels that do involve computer graphics.

I figured Crossroads would be the favorite, but I dunno. Considering it was an obvious cash-in opportunity for a non-actor, it could have been so much worse than it was. There are at least two or three other rifftracked movies that star legitimate talent that I would put ahead of Crossroads in the "worst of" pecking order.

Shinigami

I voted Episode I because it caused me the most physical harm.  Not only is it a terrible movie in its own merit, its associated with the Star Wars name.  I'm convinced that if it wasn't a Star Wars movie, it would have flopped on a massive scale.

My second place goes to XXX because it insulted me on so many levels.  I don't know where the superiority complex of Gen X'ers comes from, but its got to stop.  It glorifies all the STUPIDEST things.  I love video games and such, but to compare it to some kind of social revolution?  Pure idiocy.

Road_Element

Im Going with Crossroads because it was the worst of them all.

What have you guys have against moreau? its a good movie if you ignore the zany explosions and the poor CG. I never got why they riffed on the acting, because it seemed pretty damn good to me. Made Eragon's acting look like a 2nd grade Christmas pagaent... oh wait, it looked like that anyways. But STILL!

BathTub

Oh somebody reboot Kilmer....

Icebucket! on the head!
