It's been announced.

The 7th and final book in the Harry Potter series is titled...

I'm guessing this is going to be the biggest event in the history of fiction.

Needless to say, I'm just a little bit stoked.

;D

Has anyone caught the trailer for that movie coming out called Epic Movie. It's a parady on "epic movies". Like not another teen movie.

Anyways in it they have this 40 year old guy with 5 o'clock shadow proclaiming to be a 14 year old Harry Potter. so funny!

I won't spoil the ending just in case someone who cares hasn't read it but I was reading the last one between tests so I didn't get to read it as quickly as I'd like to. I walk into the zoo one day with the book in my bag ( I worked there part time, was going to read it at lunch) and one of our teen volunteers, as usual, rummages through my bag.  He pulls out the book, says "Hey, are you reading this?" I'm like "yeah, you can read it after I'm done if you like."  He flips to the last page, sees a huge spoiler and shouts, "{character} dies?!"  I stared at him and said "Thanks for ruining it, ass."  Gotta love kids!  :)

Yes.  I think someone posted the trailer in the "Worst Movie of 2007?" thread...  :)

I lost interest about halfway through the fifth one, and haven't picked up another one of those books since.  Not sure why, but it just doesn't have quite as much appeal to me anymore.  Hmm.  The fact that it was around the time my English Lit class got to American modernism probably has something to do with it.  Faulkner could kick Rowling's ass.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

bah dont over analyze simple fun pulp, the fact it IS pulp and IS fun is all that is relevant.  leave the deep stuff to read during the deep times.

Yeah, just because you've had crepes doesn't mean you should stop eating pancakes, if I may use a food analogy.
