In the email I just got it says Missile to the Moon next Tuesday, Carnival of Souls March 3 and Swing Parade March 10 (my birthday!)
Well then..

Looks like you got the inside scoop over the rest of us.. *jealous* >:(

Hey, I have an idea.  Let's go through the entire Rifftrax catalog and keep reinventing the wheel.  New content is way overrated.

They are MOSTLY new content though.

I just want to point out that I WASN'T the one who said a negative thing about Rifftrax this time.

So far I'm loving these rereleases, though I'll only accept a Missile to the Moon redo if Fred is still involved.

I have to say, I don't really get that one.

It's a Rifftraxy a Rifftrax as they come.

Aside from rewriting the jokes that are specifically Willardy, will this one be that different?

I think you might have guessed well in the Next 20Qs thread.

I just realised something, are these re-visits partly about having more public domain movies (and lovely restored/colourised versions at that) for live shows so the guys don't have to keep doing Plan 9 all the time?

If they want to do Missile as a live show, and Fred isn't going to be there, it might be a good idea to have one with Kevin and Bill's mark on it already for them to work with as opposed to them just picking up Fred's lines.  I fully endorse the existing track, and even if the new one is fantastic I'll still suggest people go back and try the Fred version, but if this is even part of the motive behind these tracks then it makes sense to me.

(All based on speculation, but hey, sounds good to me.)

Road House is sacred, yo.   No touchies.

Damn right!  The only way there should be another rifftrax for Roadhouse is if its a Presents with Bill and Kevin.

THAT would be interesting!

And then you could combine both traxes and get a headache!

Missile too? Interesting....I thought that one was already a classic. Swing Parade they did an intro only, I thought. What are the plans for redoing this release?

You're thinking of the other 3 Stooges releases, there's a commentary for Swing Parade, and it's really great too.

So how about some of the NOT already riffed Legend releases guys?

Pleeeease?

Phase IV would be rocktacular.

ambitiously stupid

From the looks of things the 3 riffer editions must be selling well. And if that keeps the RiffTrax train rolling, Choo-Choo!

I bought 2 of the three riffer editions last night. Will be buying more at the end of the week (I think). I'm all for these new takes. The only one I was a little puzzled over was re-doing Missile To The Moon, but I guess it'll be interesting to see the differences.

It might be a good selling plan to provide a link to the original Mike solo riff on the new 3RE page...just a thought.
So people know there are two ways to enjoy NOTLD.  8)

I purchased NOLD  on DVD with mike Commentary years ago when it first came out. I was kind of dissapointed. It wasn't very MST3K like. It was more conversational.

So needless to say I just downloaded the riff I am excited to see the full on treatment.

Hopefully these are selling better than the first Three Man Re-Do of Plan 9, which as I recall didn't do so hot.

While I don't really want to see a re-riff of things like Road House it would be cool it if it sold well enough and led to three-man riffs of other 80's flicks that as of right now aren't considered financially viable.

It's probably in the same vein as Mike's Reefer Madness solo track: more trivial and informational with some comedic stuff thrown in, versus an all out riff. I like both styles, personally.
