A Solid 9

Too many funny lines to remember :D :D :D

Parturition Squeeze

I'd never ranked a Rifftrax under a 6 until this 4.  I had never seen Dark Knight but had heard so much about it I was excited to see it riffed.  It turned out to be my least favorite, mostly because of all the talking over the dialogue.  I haven't noticed it this much since Mike did Night of the Living Dead.  Whether the dialogue is good or bad it's distracting to me when they talk over it too much.

Towel, please.

Scrivener

Kingpestus, I suggest doing what a friend and I did.  See the movie straight first, then watch with the Rifftrax.  Seeing an honestly good movie for the first time with an overlapping riff does not work well. (The Rifftrax guys could get away with it for Lord of the Rings, Raiders, Star Wars, etc., because most people had already seen those before revving up the riff.)

Give it a try.  I think you will be much better pleased, both with the movie and with the riff.

(Secondary suggestion:  if you don't like the riffers talking over dialogue, turn on the subtitles.  That can definitely help.)

Oh, and this riff got a 9 from me.  Satisfied customer.

If the movie won't shut the hell up, you either talk over dialogue or don't riff it.

I know I was a critic of riffing this one in the first place, but I figured that maybe I was just being a little too much of a hard ass, so I watched the riff.  The first time I watched it with the riff, I hated it.  I waited a few days to make sure I wasn't just in a bad mood and I know the guys rarely let us down, so when I was in a great mood, I watched it again.......and hated the riff even more.  I know that comedy is subjective, some people love or hate riffs on any movie.  But, when I was watching it the 2nd time, I started actually think that the guys didn't even watch the movie (I know they did numerous times to be able to write the riff).  I just don't get it.....this riff has to be the worst one they have ever done.  I know this may be my persnal feelings on this track, but it seemed to be so rushed and not up to Rifftrax usual high quality standards.

I thought it was fine. I'm sure all of the simeltaneous releases are rushed, but this didn't seem worse than the others.

I felt the same way about Indy Jones 3.  :(

I thought it was fine too. In fact, I enjoyed it more than many other trax. It kept me laughing throughout it's entire 2 hour and 40 minute runtime. At first I thought this was a bad riffing choice. It turned out that the dead seriousness and extreme darkness of this film, combined with Batman and the Joker running around, made it extremely ripe for the riffing treatment. All the riffs on Batman's voice alone makes this one worth checking out.
