Been a fan of MST3K since the Comedy Central days. All good things must come to an end and it was sad to see MST go away but there were many great memories, plus the tapes that everyone kept circulating.

I'd heard of Rifftrax when it first came out but it was all a bit of bother to deal with. Wonder upon wonders, I take a visit here and see the previews. Wow, those riffs are great! Modern crappy movies, up-to-date cultural references, and the old voices I'm familiar with. Mike and Tom Servo back in action (sorry, I just can't think of him as Kevin). This deserved a second look! And a third and a fourth.

I watched a pile of them over the xmas break. Oh my Xod, every bit as good as the originals, the only thing missing is Crow and the theater seats. (Can we get Trace back to do a few of these?)

I got all of the movies off the torrent sites so here's $100 in the donation kitty. Keep 'em coming!

Well Trace is a bit busy with another set of riffers, but we do have one of the Crows here regularly in Bill.  Don't count out Bill.

Welcome, BTW.

and thanks for being responsible and donating money! Now we won't hunt you down!

Well, we'll still be hunting him down, but it'll be with ice cream cones instead of torches.

If you did hunt me down and catch me, would I be shot into space and be forced to watch cheesy movies, the worst you can find? (lalala) Cuz that could actually be pretty cool.

Oh no, that's awful. Why the schism? I feel more conflicted than when Joel left. We need to bring about a riffing reunification or possibly an ecumenical council on trashing crappy movies. I think I'm going to have to get terminal disease and hook up with the Make-a-Wish Foundation to make this happen. "Do reunite the cast, just for me!" It'll be just like having a Patrick Swayze Christmas.

Bill is inoffensively average as the False Crow but we need to get Trace back as the One True Crow.

I actually like that there's two groups, because it helps create variety.  Now I'd love to see some crossover, and I'd buy the hell out of whatever product came out of it, but for now I'm happy.

And Bill rocks.

Not to get into a Trace/Bill debate.  I will go on the record and say that Bill was a better Crow.  I prefer the Sci-Fi era to everything on the Comedy channel except one thing: Frank.  God that character was hilarious.

Eh, they're different styles of projects.  The Cinematic Titanic crew want to do older cheesy movies -- ones where they can include the movie itself along with the riffing of it.  Rifftrax is able to do newer movies because they don't need to get permission from anyone involved with the movie.  Somedays I prefer one style, other days I prefer the other.

As long as the results are funny, I don't much care.  If they want to do it as separate groups, why should we hassle them about it?  If you really like them, then let them do whatever it is that they feel like doing.

I agree.  I also think that the styles of humor are different.  CT tends to be less mean to the movies that they're riffing.  Rifftrax tends to have a bit more venom towards the movies that they riff.  So, it gives fans more of a choice depending on what style of humor they prefer.
Imrahil: Don't care about Riding with Death.

Bob: Turkey.

Action Batch:  Woah, let's all mellow out and rap about this.

I always found Trace's voice (even before Bill came along) to be too much Dr F when he did crow.  I heard the voice and pictured Dr. F saying all the lines in a higher pitched forced voice......  same as when Josh was Servo.

But with both Kevin AND Bill, I hear their voices and simply picture the robots and the personalities they encompassed.

To me, Bill just IS Cow.  (my FAVOURITE Crow line.... "and I'm Cow!")

No offense to Trace's Crow at ALL, as it's still Crow....  but Bill will always be more natural as Crow, just as Kevin is more natural as Servo.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

They're going to sell rocks with Bill's picture on them?  Wow.  Now there's a new idea in marketing!

First there was Kid Rock, and now Bill Rock.  Soon he'll be singing with Hank Williams Jr.
