But can't we just skip to the parts where we treat Meg like crap?

Everybody say "Amen"!!!!

Meg's drawn like Lois with dark hair and a little shorter....but she's a "dog" and everybody is hot to trot for Lois?

It's like the old Mad Magazine satire of "Archie" - someone asks him why he rejects Betty, who loves him when she and Veronica are drawn exactly the same...

Everyone knows that Betty was rejected because she smelled like soup.

"Watchmen" - The music killed it for me.  I know why Snyder used what he did.  It doesn't mean it firggin works.  "Sound of Silence" and "All Along the Watchtower" were earsores.  Let's not even bring up Leonard Cohen's song.  These are perfect examples of dissonance imho.

Also, "Marie Antoinette" - The "Fools Rush In" scene.  Admittedly, the movie itself is rather flawed, however I still enjoy it for many reasons (I think it's one of the best looking movies in years [same goes for "Watchmen" too]).  But what should've been the movie's most hazy, drifting and ethereal moment is turned into the perfect You're Doing It Wrong with a, I dunno, "salsa clanging" with loud and clear vocals.

Doctor Who?

I didn't like the music in Watchmen the first time I saw it but when I went back to see it a second time it didn't bother me.  Also the songs were in the book,it was just Snyder trying to be faithful to the book and I can respect that.

I didn't have a problem with the modern music - but you're right...some of the choices were just strange.

"King of the Wild Frontier" for the affair with the soldier?

The "Can You Read My Mind?" sequence in Superman: The Movie isn't anything I stay in the room for.

The "Lapti Nek" portion of Return of the Jedi takes an already-sh*tty movie, forges it into a white-hot projectile, and fires it through my brainpan.

Believe it or not but they wanted Margot Kidder to sing that nstead of speak it.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

How about Row, Row your boat in star trek? I can't think of anything more painful than that. An attempt at comedy that fell flat on its face.

Actually that whole campfire scene in the movie is the only good part.  The characters being themselves.

That's why some people watch it pretending that everything that happens after they go to sleep is actually a fever dream that Kirk is having - it's called the "Life Is But A Dream Edit".  Makes it much more tolerable and explains why no one acts like themselves (rather than the bad writing).

I like that explanation.  Never thought of that before.  Thank you.

Although the Rifftrax of STV is a soothing balm.

Where can I go to find out more about the "Life is But A Dream Edit"? I haven't heard of it before.

It's not a physical edit.  There's not the right kind of footage to do it (although I wish there were).  It's just something that has gone around amongst the fans after the movie came out.  If it was discussed on the net it was back when everything was on alt.binaries or CompuServe groups and long gone.

Or maybe it was my idea now that I think about it.   ;)
