Some of the not-so-naturally-occuring films that have been riffed (you know the ones) I have had to rent from Netflix. See, the problem is that many of the films that I rent are in such terrible shape* (scratches, gouges, soaked in water, etc.) so I end up having to request a replacement.

Now requesting a replacement in usually not a big deal. Usually. The problem lies when I have to request a Cocktail or Crossroads. I guess what I'm saying is "Be kind, re-, uh, take care of the discs." Please?

*And I know exactly how they got that way. I'm looking at you, Riffees (?).

I have used my handy dandy DVD fixer-upper tool on a few rifftrax DVDs to help get rid of scratches and dings or what have you so I'm doing my part, brotha!
mike5150 how tall are you?.....in gallons?

Don't blame Riffaholics. You'll notice that the majority of damaged DVDs you receive are, for lack of a better term, bad movies. And who rents bad movies, besides us? That's right - stupid people. And, who would be most likely to treat a rented DVD improperly? You guesses it - stupid people again. Coincidence? I think not.

I'm pretty finicky when it comes to leaving DVD's out of their sleeve/case.  I have stacks of DVD-R's lying around with Episodes of MST3k on them, though.

Your priorities seem to be askew, young padawan.

I have them all backed up on my computer though.   ;)

I think Akroyd personally rented every copy of Crossroads and scratched 'em with a nail.

That's the beauty of a rental service that ships DVDs through the mail. There's no telling WHAT you're gonna get. I guess they haven't gotten enough complaints to replace bad disks.
