Very good choices, I'd say. Really happy that my two favorite performances won (Rourke and Hawkins).

I'm also fairly glad Rourke won, since from what I've heard he gave one hell of a performance (though I'm still doubtful it topped Penn's in Milk).

Plus, it was good to see Colin Farrell rightfully saying that about half his award belongs to Brendan Gleeson as well.

And ditto for Smilin's question, anyone know when the Oscar noms are announced?

My curiousity overcame my laziness and I looked it up.

So are they going to exhume Heath Ledger every time he wins an award, or are they going to wait and put them all in at once?

That would be kinda of tough since he was cremated.

They could hollow out the award and sprinkle him inside...

...could be called an Urnscar.

Or blow his ashes all over Jack Nicholson. The irony would be delectable....
Dammit, Maverick! Why don't you play by the rules?!

"Joel, what's a Harringway?"
"About a pound."

Doctor Who?

I just finished watching Wall E again and i really hope Ben Burt wins for his work on it,I think Wall E has the best sound design I have ever heard in a movie.

iv3rdawG

Don't worry, Wall-E will win in the animation category, easily.

Doctor Who?

Yeah i know but I;m hoping Ben Burt himself wins for best sound,if you really listen to Wall E you start to notice just how perfect every little sound is and how much it adds to the movie.

iv3rdawG

I'd say it has a chance in that too. I cant really think of any other movie that used the kind of sound that it had.

I'll support that too, the use of sound in that movie was brilliant from start to finish.

Doctor Who?

Yeah I can't remember the last time the sound design on a movie blew me away but it did on Wall E.
