Well, just downloaded the player, bought a few movies and a small problem occurs. I load the movie and what not, and when i try to play it, the play buttons and everything are greyed out. I downloaded the clodec packs but perhaps im maybe doing something wrong. I save the .riff file, and then load it into player, correct?
Whats intresting, is under "DVD Settings" apparently, my DVD is not rendered. I must have looked over something obvious. I hope its a quick fix.

Can you look at this thread and see if any of it applies to your system?

no, none of it seems to work. I really want to get this working after buying a handful of DVDs

Can you give us some more specifics about your computer? What OS you are using, what kind of memory and video hardware it has? If you can find that out...?

Windows Vista, 32bit
My video card is some Intel proprietary bullshit. "Mobile Intel (R) 965 Express Chipset Family @ 1.80GHz" thats the name of my card. damned toshiba laptops.
2GB of RAM

so i've downloaded all those codec packs and now i have some DVD codecs

I hope this helps. You can see in the background that the track is loaded, but i cannot play it

So you've loaded the DVD in and the Chapter and Title display as 0? Just to be sure, you should load the DVD in first, then load the .riff file.

Hello-

I know what the issue is just by looking at your screenshot- you have the AC3 Filter/ and MPEG-2 from Microsoft because some editions of Vista come with a DVD decoder- but the Microsoft decoder does not like rendering off of its decoders- so they will not render-

Grab a decoder from PowerDVD/WinDVD and see if that resolves your issue-

Let me know

Thanks
