I'm sorry, but you are all wrong still.  Paris Hilton takes the cake, not a slice....the whole damn fucking cake.  she is so horrible its not even funny, seriously.  and i love B movies with bad actors/actoresses.

Invader_quirk

Well, there are much worse actors than the ones we've mentioned, but part of the criteria is that you have to like the actor, even though they really suck.

The problem with including Paris Hilton in this thread is that she is not an actress. She's just stunt casting in everything she's been in to act like herself. She didn't try to become an actress (and she certainly doesn't try when she's in the role either) as a career choice, she was asked to be in movies.

Invader Quirk is right. Concentrate on people who believe that they are good actors, but aren't. Which puts Mark Walberg near the front of the line, along with half the cast of the WB network (or whatever they are calling it these days).

In that case (and there's a good chance I'm repeating someone else here, but I'm too lazy to check. Sorry), Nicholas Cage. The man can do an outstanding job from time to time (always will love him for Lord of War alone), but he just keeps throwing it all away for worse and worse movies.

And less said about his hair, the better.

Is that an official Wahlberg nomination?

John Agar

I don't know how I missed this thread.

John Agar is the king.  Oddly enough, Agar can actually act, a least a little bit.  At the same time, he has delivered some of the worst performances in the worst movies in the history of genre films.  The same actor effectively played Stryker's antagonist/proxy son figure in The Sands of Iwo Jima and ran the Happy Lab in Return of the Creature.  Wow*.  Agar was a bad actor that got a lot of help early in his career solely because he was married to Shirley Temple.  Like an idiot, he divorced her, whizzing his career down his leg in the process.  The next thing he knew, he was begging for a part on The Brain from Planet Arous.

*  Subsequently trumped by one of the most bizarre juxtapositions of relative quality in film history.  In 1989, Kelly Lynch co-starred in both Roadhouse and Drugstore Cowboy.  Think about it, won't you?

He didn't really have a "career" but I think John Reynolds is awesome so he gets my nomination.

You mean flipping a quarter doesn't make you a great actor?  Damn!  (Puts away loose change.)

Nope.  Loose ties to the mob and an unceasing ability to give the best roles to Humphrey Bogart does!  :)

Raft was da man in Scarface and They Drive By Night, though.

If it wasn't for Raft's inflated sense of self-worth, Bogart would have finished his career with more crap like Isle of Fury and the Return of Dr. X.

Meh, I don't really get either Scarface's appeal.  At least the original is shorter, though Paul Muni can be a bit much.

saltwrench

Don Johnson....everything he is in is terribly funny!

That, and the studios liked to punish Bogart with gay-ish roles

That was a Jack Warner joint.  They absolutely despised each other.  Bogart eventually broke free of Warner Bros., but he was too old and cancer-ridden...
