How did you hear about or find Rifftrax?!?

I've only just discovered the wealth of MST3K clips and shorts on YouTube.  It was while watching the short "Spring Fever" that I saw a link to another video having to do with Chad Vader, claiming that Mike and Kevin were in it.  And sure enough, they were.

The rest is history.  And given that I only saw this tonight, it's a brief history.

Greetings and Welcome to the forums...  Here, please accept these items, as you may find them useful during your stay here...  *Gives both BobSongs & mysterycycle a pair of Lederhosen-hosen, a Porkerina, and a BGC-1.9 Drum Machine...*  Sorry we're temporarily out of the Demon Dog Cookies at the moment, so please accept his as well... *gives a gift certificate good for one tin of freshly made Artificial Demon Dog Cookies (made with Genuine Artificial Demon Dogs)*

Enjoy!

Axeman

Found this place through The Satellite Website which mentioned the Rifftrax Fanart contest.  Lo and behold I find my favourite movie mockers are back in action for the price of a coffee!  Already got 1, and getting more now...

Okay. The Lederhosen-hosen are, well: to be honest, they're very tight. I can barely breathe. Do you have them in size 36? Let's see what else's in the box.

Oooo. A Porkerina. I haven't seen one of these since... well, since... OK. I've never seen one of these before. Fine. Ooo. Wait. It makes pig noises. Reminds me of the pig sounds from wayyy back on Green Acres or something.

Ahh. Does this drum machine still work? "dink, doop doop, dink, doop doop, dink..." click Sorry. I'll mess with it later.

I see Eragon is next on the list of films to receive a tongue lashing. Cool. My daughter will get a kick out of that. She saw the film. I can't tell you what her reaction will be. But then again: she's 14 years old. We never know what her reaction will be.  ;)

I downloaded the RiffTrax for Battlefield Earth. The only problem with it? Ya gotta watch the flick. That's really painful. IMDB members gave it a 2.3/10. And I think they're being generous, in fact. Still. Great riffing. I think Mike's "going nuts" near the end says it all about this dog of a film.

Thanks, Thom_Serveaux, for the welcome.  ;D

It took him a while to tell you about it, or on being told about it by torgo, it took a while to find it?

Sorry about the BGC, my technicians are working on that as we speak.  As to the Lederhosen-hosen, simply attach your standard variety garden hose, and turn on the spigot.  as the Lederhosen-hosen begin to fill, they will begin to expand as well.  If at some point they expand too far, simply utilize the attached drain plug...

I STUMBLED ACROSS RIFFTRAX BY ACCIDENT EARLY LAST YEAR WHILE SEARCHING FOR ALL OF THE ORIGINAL MST3k EPISODES.
I BECAME AN INSTANT FAN AND HAVE PURCHASED EVERY SINGLE RIFFTRAX OUT SO FAR! ;D

ZerothirtySeven

I found out about the site in a very questionable way.  Depends on how you look at it.  I was browsing a torrent site and came across an AVI File Labled "Star Trek 6 (Commentary by Mike Nelson and MST3k guys) and thought to myself that this has to be a total load of crap but staying optimistic cause of my love of MST3k and Of Star Trek.  After compleating the download I sit back and Enjoy the movie realising that it was in fact as labled and also was hilarious.  Not knowing what it was I watching, I got Through to the end credits and the person who made it kindly left the Copyright information tagged on the end, and hearing that there was a web site for this kind of stuff , immediately got a change of underwear.  Fixing that typed the URL in my Browser and downloaded the Matrix and The Lord OF The Rings, and of course Star Trek 6 and enjoyed them.
